LAGOS, Nigeria – Nollywood activist, Yomi Fabiyi is in trouble over his film Oko Iyabo, a film which highlights the travails of Olanrewaju James Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha.
Recall that earlier in the week, veteran actress and filmmaker, Ada Ameh had condemned him for leveraging on the travails of Baba Ijesha, his colleague in his quest to be famous.
This time, he is at loggerheads with Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) who has suspended him indefinitely.
TAMPAM announced the suspension today, saying the association’s Ethics, Conflict and Resolution Committee found him guilty of professional misconduct and unethical practices.
TAMPAN had summoned Fabiyi who is the Producer and Director of the film to appear before it on Thursday (July 8).
TAMPAN said the film had “sparked off another round of public dissension that may bring problem against the association and our good members if we fail to nip the controversy in the bud.
