LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 12 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 168, 552. But out of the 168, 552 all time infections, 164, 439 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 124 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1989 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 2 patients died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 12 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: Akwa- Ibom – 6, Ogun – 4 and Rivers – 2: 168, 552 confirmed; 164, 439 discharged; 2, 124 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 186, 687, 784 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 028, 170 patients are already dead, while 3,435,162,015 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33, 852, 037 all time cases, while 607, 150 patients have died(7851 new cases and 58 deaths*) , followed by India which has reported 30, 837, 222 all time cases, while 408,040 lives have perished(41, 506 new cases and 895 deaths*) and Brazil, which has registered 19, 069, 003 confirmed cases while 532,893 patients are no more(48, 504 new cases and 1205 deaths*).
France remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 5, 874, 719 confirmed cases, while 111, 515 patients have been killed by the virus(4256 new cases and 4 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported 5, 713, 351 confirmations and 140, 635 deaths and Turkey, which has documented 5, 713, 351 all time infections, while 50, 096 patients have passed on(24, 544 new cases*) .
The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 5, 139, 155 all time cases and 128, 691 deaths(31, 388 new cases and 26 deaths*) and Argentina with 4, 639, 098 all time infections, while 98, 501 patients have kicked the bucket(11, 561 new cases and 353 deaths*) and Colombia, which has reported 4, 471, 622 infections and 111, 731 fatalities.
Italy has come up as the 10th country worst hit with 4, 271, 276 confirmed infections and 127, 775 patients are no more(1391 new cases and 7 deaths*) and South Africa with 2, 195, 599 infections and 64, 289 deaths(16,302 new cases and 151 deaths*).
