LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has announced  203 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 169, 532. But out of the 169, 532 confirmed cases, 164, 699 patients have been  treated and discharged, while 2, 127 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2706 active cases, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.

NCDC:203 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 186,  Edo – 4, Oyo- 4, Rivers- 4, FCT- 3, Kwara – 2: 169, 532 confirmed; 164, 699 discharged; 2, 127 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 190, 338, 893 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4,087, 740 patients have passed on while  3,618, 951, 183 doses of Coronavirus  vaccine have been administered worldwide, based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the Centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 34, 078, 832 all time cases, while 609, 018 patients have kicked the bucket(14, 017 new cases and 148 deaths*), followed by India with 31, 106, 065 confirmed cases while 413,609 patients have died(41, 157 new cases and 518 deaths*) and Brazil which has confirmed 19, 376, 574 confirmations, while 542,214 patients are already dead(68, 465 new cases and 1816 deaths*).

France has come up as the 4th country most afflicted with 5, 929, 929 confirmed cases, while 111, 662 patients have passed on(12, 532 new cases and 5 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported 5, 884, 593 all time cases, while 145, 975 lives have perished(24, 480 new cases and 753 deaths*) and Turkey which has registered 5, 522,039  all time infections while 50, 488  patients have passed  on.

The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 5, 455, 036 all time cases(47, 758 new cases and 27 deaths*), while 128, 985 patients are no more, and Argentina, which had documented 4, 749, 443 confirmed cases, while 101, 434 lives have perished(12, 230 new cases 276 deaths*) and Colombia which has reported 4,639, 466  all time cases and  116,307 deaths(38, 131 new cases and 974 deaths*).

Italy has come up as the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 287, 458  all time infections, while 127, 867 patients have been killed by the virus(3126 new cases and 3 deaths*) and South Africa, now 18th among countries most hit, reporting  2, 295, 095  all time cases, while 66, 859 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(11, 215 new cases and 183 deaths*).
