LAGOS, Nigeria – Nollywood activist Yomi Fabiyi is in trouble over his film on the embattled Olanrewaju James Omiyinka, alias Baba Ijesha who is currently on trial over his alleged molestation of a 14 year old girl.
Veteran actress and filmmaker, Ada Ameh is angry with the actor for making film on Baba Ijesha and deploying the comments of people on the subject in his line of dialogue even when Baba Ijesha has just been bailed and still on trial at an Ikeja High Court.
Ada Ameh condemned what she called Yomi Fabiyi’s rush for fame, catching in on the travails of Baba Ijesha, a fellow actor who has been molested and currently in serious pain, following his initial detention for weeks in police cell. Watch the video HERE
Ada Ameh said there is no point for such a rush since there is time for everybody and that his time would surely come but that God would judge him for using the predicament of his colleague to ride to fame.
Ada Ameh said but for the fact that filmmaking had transformed her, Yomi Fabiyi would have been the target for serious beating. Ada Ameh said she used to see Yomi Fabiyi as a responsible adult with allot of respect in the industry but for his recent activities.
Ada Ameh said, the fact remains men are equally molested but are often too ashamed to speak up when it happens in a world that sees women as the only victims. She equally made allusion to the lady, who is the adopted mother of the 14 year old girl allegedly molested by Baba Ijesha, stressing that the lady once boasted of the power of her bum.
