LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 11 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 167, 543. But out of the 167, 543 confirmed cases, 163, 985 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 120 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1438 active cases, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 11 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Kaduna-3; Oyo-3; Plateau-2; Rivers-2; Ogun-1: 167,543 confirmed; 163,985 discharged and 2,120 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 181,603, 820 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 3, 932, 989 patients are no more, while 2, 999,110,217 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest updates from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country worldwide reporting 33,650, 467 confirmed cases, while 604, 423 lives are no more(10, 954 new and 328 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 30, 316,897 confirmations while 397, 637 patients are now dead(37, 566 new and 907 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 18, 448, 402 all time infections, while 514,092 patients could not make it alive.
France has come up as the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 5, 835, 885 all time cases while 111, 230 lives are no more(3404 new and 56 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported 5, 428, 961 all time cases while 132,314 patients have been killed by the virus(20, 217 new and 643 deaths*) and Turkey which has documented 5, 420, 156 all time cases, while 49, 687 patients have passed on(5846 new and 53 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 4, 791, 592 confirmed cases, while 128, 390 patients have passed on(20, 303 new and 23 deaths*) and Argentina which has confirmed 4, 423, 636 cases, while 93, 142 patients are no more and Italy which has reported 4, 259, 133 all time cases, while 127, 542 patients have been killed by the pandemic(677 new and 42 deaths*).
Colombia remains the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 187, 194 all time infections, while 105, 326 patient have passed on and South Africa with 1, 954, 466 confirmations, while 60, 264 patients are no more(13,347 new and 226 deaths*).
