LAGOS, Nigeria – There are now 174, 580, 713 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 3, 764, 730 patients are no more, while 2, 241, 798, 661 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33, 424,929 all time infections while 598, 671 lives have perished as a result of the pandemic(22, 171 new and 33 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 29, 183, 121 confirmations, while 359, 676 patients have passed on(94, 052 new and 6, 148 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has documented 17, 122, 877 all time cases, while 479, 515 patients have been killed by the pandemic(85, 748 new and 2723 deaths*).
France has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 5,791, 600 all time infections, while 110, 432 patients are no more(4487 new and 64 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has reported 5,313,098 confirmations, while 48, 524 patients have passed on(6408 new and 96 deaths*) and Russia which has registered 5, 108, 217 all time cases, while 123, 178 lives have been lost to the pandemic(11, 560 new and 376 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most affected, now reporting 4, 558, 926 all time cases, while 128, 131 patients have been killed by the pandemic(7239 new and 7 deaths*), followed by Italy, which has reported 4, 239, 868 registered cases, while 126, 855 patients are no more(2078 new and 88 deaths*) and Argentina which has reported 4, 038, 528 all time infections, while 83, 272 lives are have been wasted by the virus(29, 757 new and 605 deaths*).
Spain is the 10th country most hit, reporting 3,729, 458 all time infections, while 80, 465 patients are no more alive and South Africa which has documented 1, 722, 086 all time cases, while 57, 410 lives have been taken by the Coronavirus pandemic(18,028 new and 227 deaths*).
