LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has conformed 39 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 167, 142. But out of the 167, 142 confirmed cases, 163, 535 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2117 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1490 active cases of Coronavirus.
“NCDC@NCDC gov 39 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: Lagos 34, Ebonyi 1, Ekiti 1, FCT 1, Jigawa 1 and Rivers 1”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 177, 201, 586 all time cases of Coronavirus globally, while 3, 836, 092 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 2, 484, 231,001 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered globally based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33, 505, 563 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 600, 880 lives have perished as a result of the pandemic(8936 new and 256 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 29, 700, 313 cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 381, 903 others have been killed by the pandemic(67, 208 new and 2330 deaths*) and Brazil, which has reported 17, 628, 588 all time infections, while 493, 693 patients have lost their lives(95, 367 new and 2997 deaths*).
France remains the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 5, 811, 456 all time infections, while 110, 796 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(2142 new and 56 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has documented 5, 354, 153 confirmations while 49,012 lives are no more(5904 new and 62 deaths*)and Russia which has reported 5, 203, 117 all time infections, while 125, 853 patients have passed on(13,857 new and 410 deaths*).
The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 616, 616 confirmed cases, while 128, 209 lives are no more(10, 811 new and 19 deaths*) and Italy which has reported 4, 249, 755 all time infections, while 127, 190 other patients are no more(1323 new and 37 deaths*) and Argentina which has reported 4, 198, 620 confirmations, while 87, 261 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(25, 878 new and 646 deaths*).
Colombia remains the 10th country most afflicted with 3, 829, 879 all time cases, while 97, 560 lives are no more(27, 827 new and 595 deaths*) and South Africa with 1, 786, 079 all time cases, while 58, 323 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(11, 767 new and 100 deaths*).
