ONITSHA, Anambra, Nigeria – Former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria( CBN)  Prof. Charles Soludo has  said that Young Progressive Party (YPP) would collapse structure for him, while   over  50 percent members  of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressive Congress( APC) will support him, if given the   All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)   ticket  .

Soludo who is an aspirant for  Anambra state governorship position on the platform of APGA  made the disclosure at the Anambra Youths National Rally  for Governor Willie  Obiano in Awka, Anambra state capital .

During the youth rally, the coalition of APGA  Youths  and women  from 21 local government area, chairmen and members of the Anambra state executive council as well as member of the state House of Assembly made a donation of N22 million to Prof Charles Soludo for the purchase of the party  nomination form.

They also donated 26 branded vehicles for  Charles Soludo campaign organization. Receiving the cheque ,  Soludo  said that  what the state is asking is  for the continuity of  Chief Willie Obiano good work   in the state. According to him ,the state has had it so good under the leadership of Obiano and that there is need for continuity .

He also stated that under the regime of Gov Willie Obiano the poverty rate in Anambra state was   reduced from 53 percent to 14. 78 percent which according him  is a testimony of success and progress.

“My ambition is all about the youths agenda. I will always support the youths . I will not only give  the youth the opportunity to grow politically, I will raise 1000 millionaires  every year .Anambra is home of billionaires. We  will teach the youths how to fish and not only giving them  fish .

“After the primary , I  will support whoever that emerges  unconditionally ,but if I win,  others should support me. If I win the ticket of the party ,  50 % of PDP and APC members  will support me and APGA,  while YPP will just collapse structure into APGA. APGA is Anambra and Anambra is APGA” he said .

Soludo  also congratulated past governors of Anambra state for their  immense contributions towards the socioeconomic development of Anambra state.

Speaking at the  rally , member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency and National President ,coalition of Anambra Youths  made up of  United Anambra Youth Assembly U- AYA and United Anambra Youth Assembly U- AWA, Hon  Chinedu Obidigwe advised PDP and APC  to forget about the November 6 gubernatorial election in the  state because there was  no vacancy at the government house Awka.

“We want to use this opportunity to tell the PDP and APC to surrender to APGA because we have no vacancy at the government house Awka because our party has been in the saddle for almost sixteen years.

You know that it was under the PDP government that a sitting governor was kidnapped and that was the beginning of kidnapping in Anambra state and it was under the same PDP that Anambra state was burnt down during the mayhem and the same people that burnt down the government house Awka want to go back to the government house which took the APGA government sixteen years to rebuild, he said.

Speaking shortly after presenting the cheque of N 22 million to Soludo ,Gov Willie Obiano  represented by the Chief Of Staff Chief Primus Odili  said that the governor was  aware of the function,  noting that the governor sends his felicitations to Anambra youths and women.  Also during  rally  a moment of silence was observed for the fallen Biafran solders that died during the Nigerian Civil War.
