LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 63 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 166,254. But out of the 166,254 confirmed cases, 156,546 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,071 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7637 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-25, Ondo-22, Rivers-6, Akwa Ibom-3, Kaduna-3, Kwara-2 and Ebonyi-1 and FCT-1, making a total of 63 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 169, 147, 111 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 3, 515,183 patients have passed on while 1, 807, 058, 679 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 33, 234,714 all time cases, while 593, 845 patients have passed on(24, 793 new and 737 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 27,555,457 confirmations while 318,895 patients are no more alive(186, 364 new and 3660 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 16, 342, 162 all time infections, while 456, 674 patients are no more alive(67, 467 new and 2,245 deaths*)
France remains the 4th country most affected, reporting 5, 708, 349 confirmed cases, while 109, 452 patients are already dead (11, 273 new and 125 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has reported 5, 228, 322 all time infections, while 47, 134 patients could not make it alive from the hospitals(7773 new and 164 deaths*) and Russia which has documented 4,986, 458 confirmed cases, while 118, 386 patients have given up the ghost(9126 new and 396 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most afflicted with 4, 493, 582 registered cases of Coronavirus, while 128, 030 patients are no more(4032 new and 10 deaths*), followed by Italy which has reported 4, 209,707 registered cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 125, 919 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic(3737 new and 126 deaths*) and Germany which has reported 3, 680, 159 all time cases, while 88, 256 patients have died, owing to the pandemic(6190 new and 213 deaths*).
Spain has been pushed down as the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 3, 668, 658 all time cases, while 79, 905 lives have been lost to the virus(5482 new and 17 deaths*) and South Africa now the 20th country most hit, reporting 1, 654, 551 confirmed cases and 56, 293 deaths as a result of the pandemic(8996 new and 216 deaths*).
