LAGOS, Nigeria – There are now 151,641, 903 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 3, 184, 623 patients are already dead, while 89, 536, 081 others have survived the pandemic and consequently discharged. The world is now left with 58, 921, 199 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country worldwide, reporting 32, 377, 645 confirmed cases, while 576, 606 patients have lost their lives(44, 182 new and 791 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 19,164, 969 all time cases, 211, 853 lives have been claimed by the pandemic, while 15, 684, 406 others have survived and consequently discharged, leaving India with 3, 268, 710 active cases of Coronavirus(401, 993 new and 3523 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 14,659, 011 cases, 403,781 patients have lost their lives, while 13, 007, 565 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 247, 665 active cases of Coronavirus(68, 333 new and 807 deaths*).
France is the 4th country most impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic, reporting 5, 703, 505 confirmations, 104, 867 deaths and 347,827 recoveries, leaving France with 5, 250, 811 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 673 new and 192 deaths*), followed by Turkey with 4, 849, 408 all time cases, 40, 504 patients are already dead, while 4, 405, 199 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Turkey with 403, 705 active cases of Coronavirus(28,817 new and 373 deaths*) and Russia with 4, 759, 902 confirmed cases, 108, 675 deaths and 4, 385, 973 recoveries, leaving Russia with 265, 254 active cases of Coronavirus(9147 new and 385 deaths*).
The United Kingdom remains the 7th country worst hit, now reporting 4, 434, 157 all time cases, 127, 782 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 14, 684 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 291, 691 active cases of the pandemic(1923 new and 8 deaths*), followed by Italy which has reported 4, 035, 617 all time infections, 121, 033 deaths and 3, 484, 042 recoveries, leaving Italy with 430, 542 active cases of Coronavirus(12,964 new and 226 deaths*) and Spain which has documented 3, 524, 077 confirmed cases, 78, 216 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving Spain with 3, 295, 485 active cases of Coronavirus.
Germany is the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 3, 410, 821 confirmations, 83, 111 patients have kicked the bucket while 3, 025, 120 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Germany with 302, 590 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 100 new and 163 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 1, 581, 210 all time cases, 54, 406 lives are no more, while 1, 506, 732 others have recovered, leaving South Africa with 20, 072 active cases of Coronavirus(56 deaths*).
