LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 28 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 165,301.
But out of the 165,301 confirmed cases, 155,424 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,065 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7, 812 active cases of Coronavirus
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-10, Rivers-7, Akwa Ibom-6, Delta-2, FCT-2 and Kaduna-1, making a total of 28 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 155, 475,984 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 3, 247, 557 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 91, 855,975 others have recovered and therefore discharged. There are now 60, 372, 452 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 32, 593, 882 confirmed cases, while 579,977 patients have been killed by the pandemic(44, 929 new cases and 782 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 21,077, 410 confirmed cases, 230, 168 lives are no more, while 17, 280, 844 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving India with 3, 566, 398 active cases of Coronavirus(412, 262 new cases and 3980 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 14, 930, 183 all time cases, 414, 399 lives are no more, while 13, 266, 959 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 248, 825 active cases of Coronavirus(73, 295 new cases and 2811 deaths*).
France has come up as the 4th country most afflicted with the pandemic, reporting 5, 789, 282 all time cases, 106, 011 patients have died as a result of the virus, while 368,366 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 5, 314, 905 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 745 new and 219 deaths*) and Turkey which has documented 4, 977, 982 all time cases, 42, 187 lives are no more, while 4, 626, 799 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Turkey with 308, 996 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 388 new cases and 305 deaths*) and Russia which has documented 4, 799, 872 all time cases, 110, 366 lives are no more, while 4, 421, 329 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Russia with 268, 177 active cases of Coronavirus(7518 new and 344 deaths*).
The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 4, 444, 257 all time cases, 127, 843 lives have been lost while 14, 897 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 301, 517 active cases of Coronavirus(2619 new and 13 deaths*), followed by Italy which has documented 4, 082, 198 all time infection, 122,263 patients have been killed by the virus, while 3, 557, 133 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Italy with 402, 802 active cases of the pandemic(11, 798 new and 258 deaths*) and Spain with 3, 559, 222 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 78, 726 patients have lost their lives, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 3, 330, 120 active cases of Coronavirus(7960 new and 160 deaths*).
Germany has documented 3, 491, 076 confirmations, 84, 239 lives are no more, while 3, 121,130 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Germany with 285, 707 active cases of Coronavirus (14,960 new and 258 deaths*)and South Africa which has registered 1, 590, 370 all time cases, 54, 620 patients have lost their lives to the virus, while 1,511, 905 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 23, 845 active cases of Coronavirus(63 deaths*).
