LAGOS, Nigeria – Popular actor who has amassed a lot of followers on the social media, Olanrewaju James Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha has come to the summit of his career and is currently on a downwards trajectory, only superficial powers could save him at this moment of his career.
As it is, the fall of Baba Ijesha, the 48 year old son of Osun has just began. It all started with when Comedienne by name Princess blew the lid that Baba Ijesha has sexually molested her adopted 14 year old daughter who was assisting him in the office. She wept and wept, noting that the incident was captured on CCTV.

Not many took her serious until Punch Newspaper released CCTV footage of the incident, forcing the police to swing into action. He was subsequently arrested and detained by the police who have transferred the matter to the Lagos State Government who have decided to take up the prosecution of Bababa Ijesha.
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Team confirmed the development when it said it is in touch with the complainant and that the duplicate file has been forwarded to the DPP.
“We confirm that the duplicate case file has been forwarded to the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
According to the department, Baba Ijesha will be tried under relevant laws of Lagos State which include Sexual Assault by Penetration based on Section 261 of the Criminal law of Lagos State, 2015 punishable by Life imprisonment.
He will also be arraigned for attempted Sexual Assault by Penetration based on section 262 of the Criminal law , punishable by 14 years imprisonment and Sexual Assault based on section 263 of the Criminal Law, punishable by 3 years imprisonment.
He will also appear in court for Indecent treatment of a child based on section 135 of the Criminal Law punishable by 7 years imprisonment.
Born October 8, 1972, (Olanrewaju James Omiyinka) Baba Ijesha will remain in detention right from the day he is arraigned till the final judgment, which is likely to be life imprisonment.
That means, from the day he is arraigned till judgment and thereafter, he will lose his freedom unless he gets amnesty from the governor since suspects of sexual offences do not get bail in courts under the Lagos State Criminal Justice System.
