LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 7 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 165,709.
But out of the 165,709 confirmed cases, 156,413 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,066 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7230 active cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 162, 675, 453 confirmed cases worldwide, 3, 372, 373 patients have died, while 1, 460, 289,228 trillion doses of vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted, reporting 32, 937, 510 confirmed cases, while 585, 944 others have passed on(23, 726 new and 373 deaths*), followed by India with 24, 684, 077 confirmed cases and 270, 284 deaths(311, 170 new and 4,077 deaths*) and Brazil with 15, 586, 534 all time cases, while 434, 715 patients have passed on(67, 009 new and 2,087 deaths*) .
France remains the 4th country most hit, now reporting 5, 939,019 confirmed cases, while 107, 777 patients have lost their lives(13, 948 new and 81 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has reported 5, 117, 374 all time cases and 44, 760 deaths(10, 512 new and 223 deaths*) and Russia with 4, 883, 734 confirmations and 113, 927 deaths(8,426 new and 386 deaths*) .
The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 4, 446, 589 all time infections and 127, 941 deaths, followed by Italy with 4, 159, 122 confirmations and 124, 156 deaths, followed by Spain which has registered 3, 604, 799 all time cases and 79, 339 deaths.
Germany remains the 10th country most hit, now reporting 3,602, 768 confirmed cases and 86, 116 deaths(6793 new and 82 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 1, 611, 143 all time cases, while 55, 183 patients have lost their lives as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic(2750 new and 59 deaths*).
