ONITSHA, Nigeria – Governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Anambra state on 6th November 2021 governorship election , Chief Ben Etiaba has stated that his is coming out to serve Anambra people with his capacity and not to boss them.
Etiaba made the statement while declaring his intention to run for the governorship position of the state at the party Secretariat at the weekend . According to him, it was his greatest desire to serve the people of the state and restore confidence in governance.
” I want to be governor because if elected, I will be servant leader. We need people with vision to drive the state to greater height and I think I have the capacity to do that, ” he said .
He also said that he is being driven to become the governor of the state because of frustration as a result of poor leaderships .
” I am into politics because I am frustrated . I am frustrated as most Nigerians are frustrated. It is not enough to be criticizing those in government and getting angry. You need to come out and make the required positive changes . I have decided to stand up to run for the office of the governor to put smiles on the faces of Anambra people .
I want to bring a difference in governance . You cannot continue to cry about poor leadership and you believe you know what to do and cannot come out to do it . I have come to be governor because I knew we lack quality leaderships ” he said
