India reports 323, 144 new cases of Coronavirus 2771 deaths as Nigeria reports 156

LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 156 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 164,912. But out of the 164,912 confirmed cases, 155,012 patients have been treated and  discharged, while 2,063 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7837 active cases of Coronavirus, while 1 person died in the last 24 hours.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-50, Enugu-43, Adamawa-40, FCT-8, Ogun-5, Akwa Ibom-3, Plateau-3, Jigawa-1, Kaduna-1, Oyo-1 and Rivers-1, making a total of 156 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 148, 190,387 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally,  3, 126, 361  lives have been lost, while 85, 866, 698  patients have recovered and consequently discharged. The world is now left with  59, 197, 328 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States of  America remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 32, 166,  067  all time cases while 573, 316 patients have been killed by the pandemic(46, 319 new and 691 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 17, 636,  307  confirmed cases,  197,894 patients are already dead, while 14, 556, 209 others have recovered, leaving India with 2, 882, 204 active cases of Coronavirus(323, 144 new and 2771 deaths*) and Brazil with  14, 369, 423  confirmations,  391, 936 patients have been killed by the virus, while 12, 790,680 others are now hale and hearty,  leaving Brazil with  1, 186, 807 active cases of Coronavirus.

France is now the 4th country most afflicted, reporting  5,595, 398 confirmed cases,  103,762 patients are already dead, while 341, 406 others have recovered, leaving France with 5, 150, 230  active cases of Coronavirus(30, 323 new and 347 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented  4, 725, 252  all time cases,  107, 167 deaths and  4, 352, 649 recoveries, leaving Russia with 265, 436 active cases of Coronavirus(7931 new and 384 deaths*) and Turkey with 4, 710,  582 confirmed cases, 39,057 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 4, 167, 263 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Turkey with 504, 262  active cases of Coronavirus.(43, 301 new and 346 deaths*)

The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most afflicted, now reporting  4, 425, 254 all time infections, 127, 705 patients are already dead, while 14, 554 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 282, 995  active cases of Coronavirus(2721 new and 18 deaths*) and Italy with 3, 981, 512 all time cases,   119, 912  lives are already lost, while 3, 413,451  others are now hale and hearty, leaving Italy with  448, 149 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 398 new and  373 deaths*) and  Spain which has registered 3, 496, 134  all time infections, while 77,855 patients have died as a result of the pandemic, while 150, 376 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 3, 267, 903 active cases of Coronavirus.(7665 new and 147 deaths*)

Germany remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 3, 324,973 confirmations,  82, 116 patients are no more, while 2, 941, 050 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Germany with 301, 807 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 320 new and 330 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 1, 576,320 confirmed cases,  54, 237 deaths and 1, 502,986 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 19, 097 active cases of Coronavirus(51 deaths*).
