LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 110 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 163,440. But out of the 163,440 confirmed cases, 153,788 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,058 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7594 active cases of Coronavirus.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-24, Yobe-24, FCT-16, Bayelsa-10, Rivers-10, Kaduna-10, Nasarawa-5, Akwa Ibom-4, Bauchi-3, Edo-3, Plateau-1, making a total 0f 110 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 132, 777, 095 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 2,880, 747 patients have passed on, while 75, 413, 073 others have recovered and therefore discharged.

The world is now left with 54, 483, 275 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States of America  remains  the most afflicted country reporting 30, 908,418  all time cases,  while 559, 010 patients have been killed by the pandemic(76, 954 new and 2, 703 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has reported 13, 100, 580 all time cases,  336, 947 deaths, while 11, 459, 548 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Brazil with 1, 304, 085  active cases of Coronavirus(86, 979 new and 4, 195 deaths*) and India which has documented  12, 801, 785  total cases, 166, 177  patients have passed on while 11, 792,135 others are now hale and hearty, leaving India with 843, 473  active cases of Coronavirus(115, 736 new and 630 deaths*).

France remains the 4th country worst hit, now reporting  4, 902,948   all time infection,  97, 444 deaths and 308, 128  recoveries, leaving France with 4, 497, 376 active cases(930 new and 13 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 4, 554, 481 all time infections, 99, 800 patients are no more alive, while 4, 181, 245 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 273, 436 active cases of Coronavirus(8174 new and  369 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which  has registered 4, 381,823 all time infections, 127, 171 deaths and 13, 385 recoveries, leaving the UK with 4, 241, 267 active cases of Coronavirus(2801 new and  45 deaths*).

Italy has come up as the 7th country most afflicted with 3, 700, 393  all time cases, 112, 374 patients are already dead, while 3, 040, 182 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Italy with 547, 837  active cases of Coronavirus(13, 686 new and 627 deaths*), followed by Turkey with 3, 633, 925 confirmations,  32, 943 deaths and  3, 194, 978   recoveries, leaving Turkey with 406, 004  active cases of Coronavirus(54, 740 new 276 deaths*) and Spain which has reported 3, 326, 736 all time infections, 76, 037 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving  Spain with 3, 100, 323  active cases of Coronavirus(8788 new and 126 deaths*).

Germany remains the 10th country worst hit by the pandemic, now reporting 2, 927, 572  all time cases, 77, 566 patients are already dead, while 2, 623, 580 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Germany with 226, 426 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 670 new 321 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 1, 552, 853  confirmed cases of the pandemic, 53, 111 deaths, while 1, 479, 821 others have  recovered, leaving South Africa with 19, 921 active cases of Coronavirus(437 new and 116 deaths*).
