LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 35 new cases of Coronavirus,  bringing all  time cases to 164,719, while 154,926 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2,062 others could not survive the pandemic, leaving Nigeria with 7731 active cases, while one person has died in the last 24 hours.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-18, Rivers-7, Oyo-6, FCT-2, Ekiti-1 and Kaduna-1, making a total of 35 new cases of Coronavirus.

“NCDC @NCDC gov 35 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-18, Rivers-7, Oyo-6, FCT-2, Ekiti-1 and Kaduna-1 ;164,719 confirmed ; 154,926 discharged;  2,062 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

Globally, there are now 146, 726, 821 confirmed cases,  3, 103, 617  lives have been taken by the virus, while 84, 577, 789 others have been treated and discharged. There are now 59,045, 415 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted in terms of number affected and total number of deaths. So far, there are now 32, 073, 423 confirmed cases, while 572, 192 others have lost their lives(39, 100 new and 380 deaths*) , followed by India which has reported 16, 960, 172 all time cases,  192, 311 deaths and 14, 085, 110 recoveries, leaving India with 2, 682,  751 active cases of Coronavirus(349, 691 new 2767 deaths*)and Brazil with 14, 308, 215 confirmed cases,  389, 492 patients are no more while  12, 614, 559  others have been  treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with  1, 304, 164  active cases of Coronavirus(71, 137 new and 3076 deaths*).

France has come up as the 4th country most affected, reporting 5,559, 121 confirmations, 103, 017 lives have been lost, while 338, 191 others have recovered, leaving France with 5, 117, 913 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 465 new and 145 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported 4, 708,  640 confirmations, 106, 434 patients have lost their lives, while 4, 333, 114 others  have been given clean bill of health, leaving Russia with 4, 169, 092 active cases of Coronavirus(8652 new and 326 deaths*) and Turkey which has documented 4, 629, 969 confirmations,  38, 358 patients are no more, while 4, 073, 644 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Turkey with  517, 967  active cases of Coronavirus(38, 553 new and 347 deaths*).

The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most affected, reporting 4, 420, 443 all time cases,  127, 681 lives have been claimed by the pandemic, while 14, 452 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 278, 310 active cases of Coronavirus(1733 new and 11 deaths*) , followed by Italy which has registered  3, 962, 674 all time cases,  119, 238 lives are no more, while 3, 382, 224 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Italy with 461, 212 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 157 new and 217 deaths*)and Spain, which has now reported 3, 468, 617 all time cases, 77, 591,  lives are no more, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 3, 240, 650  active  current cases of COVID-19 pandemic.

Germany is still the 10th most afflicted country, reporting 3, 298, 608 confirmations, 81, 625 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 2, 903, 520 others have survived, leaving Germany with 313, 463 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 737 new and 83 deaths*) and South Africa with 1, 575, 471  confirmations, 54, 148 lives are no more, while 1, 501, 185 others  are now hale and hearty, leaving South Africa with  20, 138  active cases of Coronavirus(2486 new and 82 deaths*).
