LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 135 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 163,330. But out of the 163,330 confirmed cases, 152,045 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,058 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9227 active cases of Coronavirus.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Kwara-37, Lagos-32, Ondo-23, Nasarawa-13, FCT-9, Kaduna-7, Rivers-6, Osun-3, Delta-2, Edo-2 and Borno-1, making a total of 135 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 131, 612, 552 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2,856,790 patients are no more, while 74,709, 596 others have recovered and therefore discharged. There are now 54, 046, 166 active cases of Coronavirus  worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 30,769,369 all time infections, while 555, 273 others have kicked the bucket(65, 786 new and 285 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has documented 12, 984, 956  confirmed cases,  331, 433 patients have given up the ghost, while 11, 402, 671 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 250, 851 active cases of Coronavirus(31,359 new and 1240 deaths*) and India which has registered 12, 589, 067 all time cases, 165, 101 deaths and 11, 682, 136  recoveries, leaving India with 741, 830 active cases of Coronavirus(103, 558 new and 478 deaths*).

France has come up as the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 893, 971 confirmations, 97,005 patients are no more, while 306,893 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 4, 490, 073  active cases of Coronavirus(10, 797 new and 197 deaths*), followed by  the Russia which has documented 4, 538, 101 all time cases, 99,049 patients have lost their lives, while 4, 163, 170 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Russia with 275, 882  active cases of Coronavirus(8525  new and 336 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has documented 4, 376, 560  confirmed cases, 127, 104 deaths and 13, 255 recoveries, leaving the UK with 4, 236, 201 active cases of Coronavirus(2762 new and 26 deaths*).

Italy has come up as  the 7th country worst hit by the pandemic, reporting 3, 678, 944  confirmed cases, 111,326 patients have died from the pandemic while 2, 997,522 others  have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 570, 096 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 680 new 296 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has reported 3, 529,601 all time cases, 32, 456 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 3, 130, 977 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Turkey with 366, 168 active cases of Coronavirus( 42, 551 new and 193 deaths*) and Spain which has registered 3, 311, 325  all time cases,  75, 783 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 3,085, 166 active cases of Coronavirus(10,360 new and 85 deaths*).

Germany  remains the 10th country worst hit, reporting 2, 903,036 all time infections, 77, 070 patients have given up the ghost while 2, 587, 580  others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Germany with 238, 386 active cases of Coronavirus(6931 new and 49 deaths*) and South Africa, now the 19th country most hit by the pandemic.

South Africa  has registered 1, 552,416 all time cases, 52, 995 patients have lost their lives, while 1, 478, 088 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 21, 333 active cases of Coronavirus(452 new and 8 deaths*).
