Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 50 as active cases reach 53. 7 million worldwide

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 50 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 163,113. But of of the 163,113 confirmed cases,   151,853  patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,058  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9,202 active cases of Coronavirus.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-27, Plateau-11, Bayelsa-7, Gombe-3, Nasarawa-1 and Ekiti-1, making a total of 50 cases.

There are now 130,630, 373 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 2, 844,710 patients have lost their lives, while 73, 994, 813 others have recovered. There are now 53, 790, 850 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 30, 667, 184 all time cases while 554, 773 others have lost their lives, followed by Brazil which has documented 12, 953, 597 all time cases, 330, 193 patients are no more, while, 11, 290, 223 others have survived, leaving Brazil with 1, 333, 181 active cases of Coronavirus and India which has reported 12, 392,260 all time infections, 164, 110 deaths, while 11, 569, 241 others have recovered, leaving India with 658, 909 active cases of Coronavirus.

France has come up as the 4th country worst hit, now reporting 4, 802, 545 all time cases, 96, 439 deaths while 304, 563 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 4, 401, 543 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by Russia which has reported 4, 520,879 confirmations, 98, 363 patients have passed on while 4, 147, 974 others  have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Russia with 274, 542 active cases of the pandemic and the United Kingdom which has documented 4, 371, 393 all time infections, 127, 068 patients have lost their lives, while 13, 222 others have survived, leaving the UK with 4, 231, 103 active cases of Coronavirus.

Italy has come up as the 7th country worst hit, reporting 3, 650, 247 all time infections, 110, 704 deaths and 2, 974, 688  recoveries, leaving Italy with 564, 855 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by Turkey which has reported 3, 445, 052 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 32, 078 deaths and 3, 082, 676 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 330, 298 active cases of Coronavirus and Spain which has registered 3, 300, 965 all time cases, 75, 698 patients have been killed by the virus while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 3, 074, 891 active cases of Coronavirus.

Germany remains the 10th country most affected, reporting 3, 886, 029 confirmations, 76, 959 patients have lost their lives, while 2, 568, 040 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Germany with 1, 241, 030 active cases of Coronavirus and South Africa which has documented 1, 550, 724 confirmed cases, 52, 946 deaths and 1, 475, 398 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 22, 380 active cases of Coronavirus.
