LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 129 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 162,891. But out of the 162,891 total confirmed cases, 151,648 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2,057 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9, 186 active cases of Coronavirus, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-46, Ondo-19, Nasarawa-14, Kaduna-11, Borno-9, Bauchi -8, Akwa Ibom-5, FCT-5, Jigawa-4, Plateau-3, Bayelsa-2, Osun-2 and  Rivers-1, making a total of 129 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 128, 636, 973 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 2, 809, 454 deaths and 72, 976,925  recoveries. The world is now left with 52, 850, 594  active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 30, 452, 058 confirmed cases, while 551,863 others have kicked the bucket(63, 433 new and 933 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has  reported 12, 658, 109 confirmed cases, 317, 646  patients are no more, while 11, 139, 166 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 201, 297 active cases of Coronavirus and India which has reported  12, 149, 335 all time cases,  162, 468 patients are no more, while 11, 434, 301 others have recovered, leaving India with 552, 566  active cases of Coronavirus(53,840 new and  354 deaths*) .

France has come up as the 4th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 4, 705, 063 confirmations, 95,798 deaths, while 301, 467 others have recovered, leaving France with 4, 307,798 active cases of Coronavirus, (59, 059 new and 303 deaths*)  followed by Russia which has reported 4, 494,234  all time cases, 97, 219 patients are no more, while 4, 118, 709 others  have recovered, leaving Russia with 278, 306 active cases of Coronavirus(8156 new and 402*) and the United Kingdom which has registered 4, 359, 921 confirmed cases, 126, 955 deaths and 13,002 recoveries, leaving the UK with 4, 219, 964 active cases of Coronavirus(4078 new and 43 deaths*).

Italy has come up as the 7th country worst hit, now reporting 3, 584,899 confirmations, 109, 346 deaths and 2, 913, 045 recoveries, leaving Italy with 562, 508 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 887 new and 467 deaths*), followed by Turkey  which has documented 3, 317, 182 confirmed cases, 31, 537 deaths and 3,014, 226 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 271, 419 active cases of Coronavirus(39, 302 new and 152 deaths*) and Spain which has reported 3, 284, 353 confirmed cases, 75, 459 deaths, while 150, 376 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Spain with 3, 058, 518 active cases of Coronavirus(8534 new and 154 deaths*).

Germany has remained as the 10th country worst hit, reporting 2, 829, 208 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 76, 459  patients are already dead, while 2, 527, 480 others have recovered, leaving the country with 301, 728 active cases of Coronavirus(21,002 new and 230 deaths*), followed by  South Africa with 1, 548, 157 all time cases, 56, 846  deaths and 1, 474,319 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 16, 992 active cases of Coronavirus(1422 new and 4, 058 deaths*).
