ONITSHA, Anambra – Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano on Wednesday disclosed that nine persons have been arrested in connection with the attack on former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government of the State .
Obiano made the disclosure at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre in Awka, Anambra state capital during the presentation of a book, titled ‘GOVERNOR WILLIE OOBIANO: 7 Years of Delivering Good Governance in Anambra State, written by Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Broadcasting Corporation ABS, Dr Uche Nworah

Prof. Soludo ,a governorship aspirant on platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra state November 6, governorship election was last month attacked by gunmen in his community, Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, during an interactive session with youths of the community.
“What happened last month was unfortunate, but let me tell you, we have restrategized and we are coming out like a smoking gun. The nine people that attacked Prof Soludo are in our net now. We are going to eliminate them. We will go after the others”.
According to the governor, the state has put in place a special squad , and they are already working everywhere.
