LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 101 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 162,489.
But out of the 162,489 total confirmed cases, 150,205 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,041 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 10, 243 active cases, while 4 patients died in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-32, Abia-16, Ebonyi-14, FCT-10, Bayelsa-6, Rivers-6, Bauchi-5, Jigawa-4, Oyo-3, Akwa Ibom-3 and Osun-2, making a total of 101 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 126, 476, 562 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 771, 966 patients are already dead, while 71, 647, 110 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged. There are now 52, 057, 486 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, reporting 30, 208, 378 confirmed cases of Coronavirus while 548, 765 patients have lost their lives(57, 716 new and 717 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has reported 12, 404, 414 confirmations, 307, 112 deaths, while 10,909, 798 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 187, 507 active cases of Coronavirus(84,245 new and 3650 deaths*) and India with 11, 908, 910 all time cases, 161, 240 deaths, while 11, 295,023 others have recovered, leaving India with 452, 647 active cases of Coronavirus(62, 258 new and 291 deaths*) .
France has come up as the 4th country most affected by the pandemic, now reporting 4, 569, 164 confirmed cases of the pandemic, 94, 623 deaths while 296, 179 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving France with 4, 179, 362 active cases of Coronavirus(42, 636 new and 191 deaths*) , followed by Russia which has registered 4, 460, 348 all time cases, 95, 792 deaths and 4, 083, 438 recoveries, leaving Russia with 281, 118 active cases of Coronavirus(8783 new and 382 deaths*) and United Kingdom which as documented 4, 343,066 cases since the outset of the pandemic, 126, 813 patients have passed on while 12, 712 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 203, 541 active cases of the pandemic(3913 new and 58 deaths*).
Italy remains the 7th country worst hit, reporting 3, 512, 453 all time cases, 107,636 deaths and 2, 832,939 recoveries, leaving Italy with 571, 878 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 834 new and 380 deaths*) and Spain which has registered 3, 255, 324 all time infections, 75, 010 patients have passed on while 150, 376 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Spain with 3, 029, 938 active cases of Coronavirus and Turkey which has registered 3, 179,115 all time infections, 30, 923 patients have lost their lives while 2, 939, 929 others have recovered, leaving Turkey with 208, 263 active cases of Coronavirus(30, 021 new and 151 deaths*).
Germany remains the 10th country most affected by the pandemic, now reporting 2, 770, 694 confirmed cases, 75, 858 deaths and 2, 482,934 recoveries, leaving Germany with 211, 902 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 692 new and 2123 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 1, 544, 466 confirmations, 52, 648 patients are no more, while 1, 471, 164 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 20, 654 active cases of Coronavirus(46 deaths*).
