LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 662 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 150,908. But out of the 150,908 confirmed cases, 127,500 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,813 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 21, 595 active cases of Coronavirus, while 10 patients passed away in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-167, FCT-116, Ogun-45, Kano-44, Akwa Ibom-35, Edo-34, Rivers-27, Kaduna-23, Osun-23, Kwara-22, Taraba-22, Oyo-20, Ondo-19, Plateau-14, Abia-11, Imo-11, Nasarawa-7, Niger-6, Bayelsa-5, Delta-5, Enugu-3, Ekiti-2 and Jigawa-1, making a total of 662 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 110, 658, 952 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 450,462 patients have been killed by the virus, while 62, 314, 773 others have been treated and discharged. The world is now left with 45, 893, 717 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland(USA).
According to the centre the United States remains the most afflicted country worldwide, reporting 27, 971, 377 confirmed cases while 495,470 patients have been killed by Coronavirus(94, 852 new and 3168 deaths*) followed by India which has confirmed 10, 963, 394 cases, 156,111 deaths, while 10, 667,741 others have recovered from the ailment and subsequently discharged, leaving India with 139, 542 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 193 new and 97 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 10, 084, 208 all time cases, 244, 737 patients are no more, while 8,988,618 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Brazil with 850, 853 active cases of Coronavirus(105, 461 new and 2647 deaths*).
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most afflicted, now reporting 4, 107, 230 all time cases, 120, 147 deaths, while 11, 188 others have been assisted to the point of recovery, leaving the UK with 3, 975, 895 active cases of Coronavirus(12,073 new and 533 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 4, 092, 649 total infections, 81, 048 patients have kicked the bucket while 3, 639,011 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 372, 590 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 242 new and 461 deaths*) and France with 3,596,167 registered cases, 83, 543 patients are no more, while 253,337 others have been assisted to recovery, leaving France with 3, 259, 287 Coronavirus patients(25 new and 1 death*).
Spain is 7th among countries worst hit, reporting 3, 133,122 confirmed cases, 67, 101 patients are already dead, while 150, 376 others have been treated officially and discharged, leaving Spain with 2, 915, 645 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 435 new and 397 deaths*) , followed by Italy which has confirmed 2, 780,882 all time cases, 95, 235 patients have been killed by the virus, while 2, 303,199 others have recovered, leaving Italy with 382, 448 active cases(15, 470 new and 348 deaths*) and Turkey now reporting 2, 624,019 registered cases, 27, 903 lives have been destroyed by the virus, while 2, 511,548 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Turkey with 84, 568 active cases of Coronavirus(7419 new and 82 deaths*).
Germany is the 10th country worst hit with 2, 381,259 registered cases, 67, 500 deaths, while 2, 183, 666 others have recovered, leaving Germany with 130, 093 active cases of Coronavirus(9089 new and 549 deaths*) and South Africa now the 16th country worst hit with 1, 500, 677 all time cases, 48, 859 patients have passed on while 1, 406,907 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 44, 911 active cases of Coronavirus(4238 new and 151 deaths*).
