LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 341 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 155,417. But out of 155,417 total confirmed cases, 133,256 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,905 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 20, 256 active cases of Coronavirus, while 3 patients died in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-96, Rivers-41, Kaduna-33, Edo-21, Osun-20, Akwa Ibom-17, FCT-17, Ondo-15, Gombe-11, Kano-11, Imo-10, Ekiti-9, Kebbi-9, Kwara-8, Oyo-8, Borno-6, Enugu-3, Plateau-3, Delta-1, Niger-1 and Ogun-1, making a total of 341 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 113, 651, 359 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2,522,105 patients have passed on while 64,136,289 others have been treated and discharged. There are now 46, 992, 965 active cases of Coronavirus globally based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, now reporting 28, 540,400 confirmed cases while 511,787 patients have passed on(78,465 new and 2053 deaths*), followed by India which has registered 11, 079, 979 confirmed cases, 156, 938 deaths, while 10, 763,451 others are now hale and hearty, leaving India with 159, 590 active cases of Coronavirus(16,488 new and 113 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 10, 455,630 confirmations, 252,835 patients are already dead, while 9, 324,081 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 878, 714 active cases of Coronavirus(65, 169 new and 1337 deaths*).
Russia has taken over as the 4th country worst hit, reporting 4, 187,166 confirmed cases, 84, 330 deaths, while 3, 756, 808 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Russia with 346, 028 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 409 new and 430 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has documented 4, 182,772 all time infections, 122, 939 deaths and 11, 602 recoveries, leaving the UK with 4, 048, 231 active cases of Coronavirus(7502 new and 291 deaths*) and France which has reported 3, 747,263 confirmations, 85, 741 deaths, while 261, 649 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving France with 3,399, 873 Coronavirus patients(564 new and 3 deaths*).
Spain has continued as the 7th country worst hit by the pandemic, reporting 3, 188,553 confirmed cases, 69, 142 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Spain with 2, 969, 035 Coronavirus patients, followed by Italy, which has confirmed 2, 907, 825 all time cases, 97, 507 patients are no more, while 2, 398,352 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Italy with 411, 966 active cases of Coronavirus(18, 902 new and 280 deaths*) and Turkey which has registered 2, 693, 164 all time cases, 28, 503 patients are no more, while 2, 565,723 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Turkey with 98, 938 active cases of Coronavirus(279, 193 new and 71 deaths*).
Germany remains the 10th country worst hit, reporting 2, 443, 885 confirmed cases, 70, 019 patients have passed on while 2, 248,399 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Germany with 124, 981 active cases of Coronavirus(7409 new and 269 deaths*) and South Africa, now the 16th country worst hit, reporting 1, 512,225 confirmed cases, 49, 941 patients are no more, while 1, 429, 047 others have survived, leaving South Africa with 33, 237 active cases of Coronavirus(3101 new and 274 deaths*).
