UK, Spain, France lead new cases of Coronavirus in Europe

IKEJA, Lagos – Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) has confirmed 1398 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 103,999. But out of the 103,999 confirmed cases, 82, 555 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1382 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 20, 062 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-542, FCT-131, Oyo-120, Rivers-113, Plateau-111, Kaduna-71, Kwara-71, Akwa Ibom-34, Sokoto-31, Benue-28, Ogun-27, Kano-26 ,Kebbi-17, Osun-12, Nasarawa-11, Delta-10, Gombe-10, Bayelsa-9, Borno-9, Edo-8, Ekiti-3, Jigawa-2 and Katsina-2, making a total of 1398 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are no 92,111,432 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 973,059 patients have passed on while 50, 896, 076 others have been treated and discharged. The world is now left with 39, 242, 297 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 22, 998, 320 confirmed cases, while 383, 338 others have lost their lives to the virus(222, 948 new and 3894 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 10,495, 147 all time cases, 151,529 patients are no more, while 10, 129, 111 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 214, 507 active cases of Coronavirus(15,968 new and 202 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 8, 195,637 confirmations, 204, 690 patients are no more, while 7, 345,457 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving Brazil with 645, 490 active cases of Coronavirus(64, 025 new and 1110 deaths*).
Russia comes in as the 4th most affected country, reporting 3,434,934 all time cases, 62, 463 deaths and 2, 824,240 recoveries, leaving Russia with 548, 231 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 544 new and 555deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has registered 3, 220,939 confirmed cases, 84, 909 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic, while only 7, 400 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the UK with 3,128, 630 active cases of Coronavirus(47,665 new and 1567 deaths*) and France which has registered 2, 888,212 all time cases, 69, 168 patients are no more, while 211, 598 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving France with 2, 607, 446 active cases of Coronavirus(23,915 new and 229 deaths*).
Turkey remains the 7th most affected country, reporting 2, 355, 839 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 23, 325 patients have been killed by the virus, while 2, 227,927 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Turkey with 104, 587 active cases of Coronavirus(9554 new and 173 deaths*), followed by Italy which has registered 2, 319, 036 all time cases, 80, 326 deaths and 1,673, 936 recoveries, leaving Italy with 564, 774 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 773 new and 507 deaths*) and Spain which has registered 2, 176,089 all time cases, 52, 878 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 1, 972, 835 active cases of Coronavirus(38,869 new and 195 deaths*).
Germany remains the 10th country most affected by the pandemic, reporting 1, 981,013 all time cases, 43, 604 deaths and 1, 621,853 recoveries, leaving Germany with 315, 556 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 115 new and 1345 deaths*) and South Africa which has registered 1, 278, 303 confirmations, 35,140 patients have died as a result of the virus, while 1, 030,930 patients have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving South Africa 203, 233 active cases of Coronavirus(18, 555 new and 806 deaths*).
