LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 1,204 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 91,351. But out of the 91,351 all time cases, 75,699 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,318 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 14,334 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-654 FCT-200, Plateau-60, Kaduna-54, Kano-40, Rivers-30, Edo-28, Nasarawa-25, Kebbi-19, Bauchi-18, Oyo-13, Akwa Ibom-12, Bayelsa-11, Ogun-11, Delta-9, Abia-8, Benue-5, Imo-3, Borno-2, Sokoto-1 and Osun-1, making a total of 1204 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 85,520, 927 million confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 849,436 people have lost their lives, while 48,040,166 others have been treated successfully and discharged. There are now 35, 631, 325 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 20, 757, 339 confirmed cases, 352,858 deaths, no data for total recovery(183, 834 new and 1581 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 10, 340, 469 all time cases, 149, 649 deaths and 9, 946, 867 recoveries, leaving India with 243, 953 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 504 new and 214 deaths*) and Brazil with 7, 733, 746 confirmations, 196, 018 patients are no more, while 6,938, 178 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Brazil with 599, 550 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 341 new and 293 deaths*).
Russia remains the 4th most afflicted country, reporting 3, 226,758 confirmed cases, 58, 203 patients are already dead, while 2, 612, 934 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 555, 621 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 015 new and 473 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has documented 2, 721, 590 confirmed cases, 75, 544 lives have been lost to the Coronavirus pandemic, while only 6, 145 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the United Kingdom with 2, 639, 901 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic(58, 954 new and 407 deaths*) and France which has reported 2, 716,997 confirmations, 65, 542 patients have passed on, while 201,959 others have been discharged, leaving France with 2, 449, 496 Coronavirus patients(4,022 new cases and 378 deaths*).
Turkey remains the 7th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 2, 255,607 all time infections, 21, 685 deaths and 2, 146, 430 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 87, 492 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 695 new and 197 deaths*), followed by Italy, which has reported 2, 166, 244 confirmed cases, 75, 680 patients are already dead, while 1, 520,106 others have recovered, leaving Italy with 570, 458 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 798 new and 348 deaths*) and Spain, with 1,958, 844 confirmed cases, 51, 078 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others been discharged, leaving Spain with 1, 757, 390 active cases of Coronavirus(30, 579 new and 241 deaths*).
Germany remains the 10th country most affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, reporting 1, 796,207 all time infections, 34, 969 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 1, 426, 981 others have recovered, leaving Germany with 334, 257 active cases(12, 311 new and 373 deaths*) and South Africa, now the 17th country most affected, reporting 1,113,349 confirmations, 30, 011 patients have lost their lives, while 911, 573 others have recovered, leaving South Africa with 171, 765 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 601 new and 434 deaths*).
