Nigeria reports 1876 new cases of Coronavirus

LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 1876 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 107, 345. But out of the 107, 345 confirmed cases, 84,535 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,413 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 21, 397 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-713, Plateau-273, FCT-199, Kaduna-117, Oyo-79, Enugu-58, Ondo-53, Kano-49, Sokoto-43, Ogun-37, Osun-37, Nasarawa-36, Rivers-28, Benue-24, Delta-24, Niger-24, Gombe-18, Edo-15, Taraba-12, Bayelsa-10, Ekiti-9, Borno-6, Zamfara-2 and Jigawa-1, making a total of 1867 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 93,626,393 confirmed cases of Coronavirus as death toll crosses the 2 million mark. In specific terms, the Coronavirus pandemic has killed a total of 2, 004,269 patients, while 51, 579,841 others have been treated and discharged. The world is now left with 40, 042, 283 active cases of Coronavirus, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 23, 475, 380 confirmed cases, while 391, 098 patients have lost their lives(259, 700 new and 4102 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 10, 527, 683 all time cases, 151, 918 patients are no more, while 10, 162, 738 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 213, 027 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 590 new and 191 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 8, 324, 294 all time cases, 207,095 patients have been killed by the virus, while 7, 416,401 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving Brazil with 700, 798 active cases of Coronavirus(67, 758 new and 2131deaths*).
Russia remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 3, 483, 531 confirmed cases, 63, 558 deaths and 2, 879,082 recoveries, leaving Russia with 540, 891 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 294 new and 542 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has registered 3, 325,636 confirmations, 87, 448 patients have been killed by Coronavirus, while 7, 689 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 3, 230, 499 Coronavirus patients in the hospitals(104,599 new and 2533 deaths*) and France with 2,931,350 confirmed cases, 70, 090 deaths, while 213, 997 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 647, 263 Coronavirus cases(21,785 new and 640 deaths*).
Turkey is the 7th country most affected, reporting 2, 373,115 confirmed cases, 23, 664 patients have lost their lives, while 2, 246,047 others have recovered and were discharged, leaving Turkey with 103, 404 active cases of Coronavirus(8, 314 new and 169 deaths*), followed by Italy which has documented 2, 352,423 all time cases, 81, 325 deaths and 1, 713, 030 recoveries, leaving Italy with 558, 068 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 144 new and 477 deaths*) and Spain, which has registered 2, 252,164 confirmed cases, 53, 314 patients have been wasted by the virus, while 150, 376 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 2, 048, 474 Coronavirus patients(40, 197 new and 235 deaths*).
Germany remains the 10th country most affected by Coronavirus, reporting 2, 023, 653 all time infections, 45, 705 patients are already dead, while 1, 664, 176 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving Germany with 313, 772 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 662 new and 1033 deaths*) and South Africa(16), with 1, 311,686 confirmed cases, 36, 467 deaths and 1,062,690 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 212, 529 active cases of Coronavirus(33, 383 new and 1327 deaths*).
