LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 1303 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 124, 299. But out of the 124, 299 total cases,  99, 276 patients have been discharged, while 1522 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 23, 501 active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-478, FCT-211, Nasarawa-83, Rivers-72, Kwara-42, Edo-36, Ondo-34, Benue-32, Kaduna-32, Katsina-26, Plateau-26, Kano-25, Taraba-25, Osun-22, Delta-21, Oyo-21, Niger-19, Sokoto-18, Ebonyi-17, Ekiti-14, Gombe-13, Ogun-12, Bauchi-11, Zamfara-8, Borno-4 and Jigawa-1, making a total of 1303 new cases of Coronavirus.

Global cases of Coronavirus has surpassed the 100 million mark. In specific terms, there are now 100, 063,707 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 2, 151,248 patients have passed on while 55, 271,047 others have been treated and discharged. There are now 42, 641, 412 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, reporting 25,386,596 confirmations, while 424, 164 others have been killed by the virus(139, 883 new and 3451 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 10, 676, 838 confirmed cases,  153, 587 deaths, while 10, 345,985 others have recovered, leaving India with 177, 266 active cases of Coronavirus(9102 new and 117 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 8, 871,393 confirmed cases, 217, 664 deaths, while  7, 880,181 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving Brazil with 773, 548 active cases of Coronavirus(627 deaths*).

Russia is the next most afflicted country, reporting 3, 716,228 confirmations, 69, 391 deaths and 3, 140,930 recoveries, leaving Russia with 505, 907 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 982 new and 550 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has reported 3, 700, 235 confirmed cases, 100,358 patients are already dead, while 9, 129 others have been able to survive the ailment, leaving the UK with 3, 590, 748 Coronavirus cases(20, 134 new and 1635 deaths*) and  France with 3, 138,449 all time cases, 74, 248 deaths, while 225, 267 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 838, 934 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 094 new and 612 deaths*).

Spain is the 7th country most hit by the virus, reporting 2, 629, 817 confirmed cases, 56, 794 patients have passed away, while 150, 376 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 2, 422, 647 active cases of Coronavirus(36, 435 new and 586 deaths*), followed by Italy, which has reported 2, 485,956 confirmed cases, 86, 422 deaths and 1, 917,117 recoveries, leaving Italy with 482,417 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 584 new and 541 deaths*) and Turkey with 2,442,350 all time infections, 25, 344 patients are no more, while 2, 322,511 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Turkey with 94, 495 active cases of Coronavirus(7103 new and 134 deaths*).

Germany remains the 10th country worst hit by the virus, reporting  2, 163,778 confirmed cases,  53, 619 patients have died from the virus, while 1, 863, 959 patients have recovered, leaving Germany with 246, 200 active cases  of Coronavirus(9128 new and 993 deaths*) and South Africa, now the 15th country worst hit, reporting 1, 423,578  all time cases, 41, 797 patients are already dead, while 1, 254,674 others have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 126, 107 active cases of Coronavirus(6041 new and 680 deaths*).
