School Principal placed on suspension

AKWA IBOM, Nigeria – The management of Deeper Life High School, Akwa Ibom has said it is investigating alleged molestation of a student in the school which has been widely circulated via a viral video.
In a statement dated December 21, 2020, the management of the school said investigation into the case has commenced and that no culprit, whether staff or student will be spared if found culpable at the end of the exercise.
“As an interim measure and to underscore the seriousness we attached to higher superintending values, the school principal has been suspended even as further investigation continue.
“We firmly assure the discerning public that the overall outcome of the investigation will be made known and appropriate disciplinary actions will be meted out to all culprits in this unfortunate act that admittedly threatens to cast unnecessary aspersion on a unique institution that has been a shining example to all over the years”.
Deeper Life High School restated that the school is built on the core values of godliness and excellence and that it will not tolerate any act of molestation of any student.
“We believe that parents or guardians enroll their wards our schools all over the country because of the strong perception that ours offers, a sure-footed platform for moral armaments and academic excellence”, the management of the school said.
