LAGOS – Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 749 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 85,560. But out of the 85,560 all time cases, 71,937 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1,267 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 12, 356 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-299, Plateau-131, Kaduna-83, FCT-74, Kwara-35, Sokoto-26, Edo-18, Kano-17, Katsina-16, Delta-11, Nasarawa-10, Ondo-9, Bauchi-9, Rivers-5, Akwa Ibom-3, Jigawa-1, Osun-1 and Ekiti-1, making a total of 749 new cases.

There are now 81, 746,514 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 784, 379 patients are already dead, while 46, 222,378 other patients have been treated and discharged. There are now 33, 739, 757 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the JHU, the United States remains the most afflicted country globally, reporting 19, 468, 771 all time cases, 337, 210 patients have lost their lives as a result of the virus, data of total recoveries has been withheld by authorities in the US(240, 347 new cases), followed by India, which has reported 10,224,303 all time infections, 148, 153 deaths, while 9, 807, 569 others have recovered, leaving India with 268, 581 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 432 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 7, 504, 833 all time cases, 191, 570 patients are no more, while 6, 727, 297 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 585, 336 active cases of Coronavirus(20, 548 new cases).
Russia remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 3,073,923 confirmed cases, 55, 107 patients are already dead, while 2, 470,783 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Russia with 548, 033 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 588 new cases), followed by France which has documented 2, 631,011 confirmations, 64, 204 patients have been killed by the virus, while 197, 726 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 369, 081 Coronavirus patients(11, 541 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has reported 2,389,926 confirmed cases of Coronavirus since March when the first cases was reported, 71,675 patients have died, while only 5, 129 others have been fortunate to survive the ailment after medical intervention, leaving the UK with 2, 313, 122 Coronavirus patients in the various hospitals looking up to divine intervention to keep living(53, 268 new cases).
Turkey has come up as the 7th country worst hit, reporting 2, 178, 580 all time cases, 20, 388 patients are no more, while 2,058, 437 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Turkey with 99, 755 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 805 new cases), followed by Italy which has listed 2, 067,487 all time infections, 73, 029 deaths and 1, 425,730 recoveries, leaving Italy with 568, 728 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 210 new cases), and Spain with 1, 893,502 all time cases, 50, 442 patients have passed on, while 150, 376 patients remain as survivors of the pandemic, leaving Spain with 1, 692, 684 patients still sick with the Coronavirus pandemic(14, 089 new cases).
Germany now stands as the 10th country worst hit with 1, 691, 755 confirmations, 31, 655 deaths, while 1, 299,561 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Germany with 360, 539 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 171 new cases) and South Africa which now stands as the 17th country worst hit with 1, 021, 451 confirmed cases, 27, 568 deaths and 858, 456 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 135, 427 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 038 new cases).
