UK, Germany lead new cases of Coronavirus in Europe

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) has confirmed 1, 041 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 81963. But out of the 81963 all time cases, 69,651 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1,242 others could not make it alive. Active cases in Nigeria has risen to 11, 070.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-316, FCT-210, Kaduna-83, Plateau-70, Gombe-56, Oyo-56, Katsina-47, Nasarawa-35, Kano-33, Ogun-21, Rivers-17, Niger-14, Imo-14, Delta-12, Kwara-12, Edo-12, Benue-9, Anambra-8, Taraba-4, Ekiti-4, Ebonyi-6, Bayelsa-1 and Sokoto-1, making a total of 1,041 new cases of Coroanvirus.

There are now 79, 194,606 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally, 1, 738, 736 lives have been lost to the virus, while 44, 616,559 others have been treated successfully and discharged. There are now 32, 839, 311 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide, based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to Johns Hopkins, the United States remains the country worst hit so far in terms of total number afflicted and total number of casualties. Till date, the United States has documented 18,586, 874 all time cases, 328, 095 deaths but concealed the total number that has recovered so far(204, 883 new cases), followed by India which has reported 10, 123, 778 all time infections, 146,756 patients are already dead, while 9, 693, 173 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving India with 283, 849 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 712 new cases), followed by Brazil which has reported 7, 423, 945 confirmations, 189, 982 patients died as a result of the virus, while 6, 512,717 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Brazil with 712, 246 active cases of Coronavirus(105, 124 new cases).
Russia is the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 2, 934,695 confirmations, 52, 434 patients have already lost their lives, while 2, 347,700 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 534, 561 active cases of Coronavirus(29, 499 new cases), followed by France which has documented 2, 584,249 all time cases, 62, 388 deaths and 194,559 recoveries, leaving France with 2, 327, 302 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 690 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has reported 2, 195, 113 all time cases of Coronavirus, 69, 731 patients are already dead, while only 4, 723 patients have been fortunate to survive the pandemic, leaving the UK with 2, 120, 659 active cases of Coronavirus(39, 267 new cases).
Turkey has assumed the status of the 7th country worst hit by Coronavirus, reporting 2, 100, 712 all time cases, 19, 115 patients are no more, while 1, 935, 292 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Turkey with 146, 305 active cases of Coronavirus(18, 102 new cases), followed by Italy which has documented 2, 009,317 all time infections, 70, 900 deaths, while 1, 344, 785 patients have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Italy with 593, 632 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 939 new cases) and Spain which has reported 1, 854, 951 confirmations, 49, 824 patients are already dead, while 150, 376 others have recovered and remains constant since June 2020, leaving Spain with 1, 654, 751 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 662 new cases).
Germany has come up as the 10th country worst hit by Coronavirus, reporting 1, 613, 511 all time cases, 29, 085 deaths, while 1, 201, 643 others have recovered, leaving Germany with 382, 783 active cases of Coronavirus(34, 478 new cases) and South Africa which has documented 954, 258 confirmations, 25, 657 deaths and 811,372 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 117, 229 active cases of Coronavirus.
