LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 806 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 77,013. But out of the 77,013 all time cases, 67, 484 patients have been treated successfully and discharged while 1,212 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8317 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-287, FCT-255, Kaduna-36, Akwa Ibom-29, Katsina-25, Rivers-25, Kwara-21, Bauchi-19, Kano-15, Ondo-14, Plateau-13, Yobe-12, Nasarawa-11, Ebonyi-9, Gombe-8, Abia-7, Delta-4, Imo-4, Osun-3, Anambra-2, Borno-2, Cross River-1, Edo-1, Ekiti-1, Jigawa-1 and Ogun-1, making a total of 806 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 75,433, 871 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 1, 670,531 patients have lost their lives as a result of the virus, while 42,558,352 others have been treated successfully and discharged. Globally, there are now 31, 204, 988 active cases of Coronavirus, based on the latest statistics released by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University(JHU), Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most affected country worldwide, reporting 17, 370, 311 all time cases, 312,524 patients have been killed by the virus(221, 080 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 9,979, 447 all time cases, 144, 789 patients are already dead, while 9, 520, 827 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 313, 831 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 890 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 7, 110,434 confirmed cases, 184, 827 deaths and 6,301, 547 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 624, 060 active cases of Coronavirus(69, 826 new cases).
Russia remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 2, 764, 843 all time infections, 49, 170 lives have been lost to the virus, while 2, 207,398 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 508, 275 active cases of Coronavirus(28, 116 new cases), followed by France with 2, 499, 198 confirmations, 60, 343 patients are already dead, while 188,349 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 250, 506 patients still down with Coronavirus, hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(15, 818 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has reported 1, 982, 819 confirmed cases, 66, 639 patients are already dead, while only 4, 133 patients have been treated successfully and discharged by the health authorities, leaving the UK with 1, 912, 047 patients still down with Coronavirus, praying for divine intervention to save their lives(28, 551 new cases).
Turkey has come up as the 7th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 1, 982, 090 all time cases, 17, 610 deaths and 1, 753,552 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Turkey with 210, 928 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 410 new cases), followed by Italy, which has confirmed 1, 923, 158 all time cases, 67, 894 deaths while 1, 226, 086 others have recovered, leaving Italy with 629, 178 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 781 new cases) and Spain with 1,797, 236 confirmations, 48, 926 deaths, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 1, 597, 934 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 815 new cases).
Argentina has come up as the 10th country most affected by Coronavirus, reporting 1, 524,372 all time cases, 41, 534 deaths, while 1, 352,556 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Argentina with 130, 282 active cases of Coronavirus(7, 326 new cases) and South Africa, now the 18th country worst hit, reporting 901, 538 all time cases, 24, 285 deaths and 783, 818 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 93, 435 active cases of Coronavirus(8,725 new cases).
