LAGOS, Nigeria – Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 356 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 78,790. But out of the 78, 790 all time cases 68,483 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1,227 others could not make it alive. Active cases in Nigeria has risen to 9,080.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, FCT-79, Lagos-59, Kaduna-56, Katsina-37, Nasarawa-30, Kano-25, Edo-18, Gombe-14, Kebbi-12, Akwa Ibom-7, Rivers-7, Sokoto-7, Abia-3, Ogun-1 and Cross River -1, making a total of 356 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

There are now 77, 188, 346 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally, 1, 699, 085 patients have died as a result of the pandemic, while 43, 522,242 others have been treated successfully and discharged – there are now 31, 967, 019 active cases of Coronavirus globally based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to John Hopkins, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 17, 947, 644 all time cases, while 318,602 others are now dead(142, 045 new cases) followed by India, which has reported 10,055, 560 confirmed cases, 145, 810 deaths, while 9, 606, 111 others have regained their health, leaving India with 303, 639 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 337 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 7,238, 600 confirmations, 186, 764 others are no more, while 6, 447, 096 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 604, 740 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 445 new cases).
Russia remains the 4th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 2, 850, 042 all time cases, 50, 723 deaths and 2, 273, 510 recoveries, leaving Russia with 525, 809 active cases of Coronavirus(28, 917 new cases), followed by France which has reported 2,535,553 confirmations, 61, 016 patients are already dead, while 190, 296 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 284, 241 patients still down with Coronavirus hoping for the best of medical care to get back on their feet(5, 597 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has documented 2,079, 673 all time cases, 67, 718 deaths, while only 4, 380 others have been able to survive the pandemic, leaving the UK with 2, 007, 575 patients still down with Coronavirus hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(33, 512 new cases).
Turkey has settled down as the 7th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 2, 043, 704 confirmations, 18, 351 deaths and 1, 834, 705 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 190, 648 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 103 new cases), followed by Italy which has documented 1, 964, 054 all time cases, 69, 214 patients are no more while 1, 281,258 patients have recovered, leaving Italy with 613, 582 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 869 new cases) and Spain which has documented 1, 819,249 confirmed cases, 49, 260 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 1, 619, 613 patients still sick, hoping for the best of care to keep living(32, 013 new cases).
Coming in the 10th place is Argentina which has reported 1, 541,285 confirmations, 41, 813 deaths and 1, 368, 346 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 131, 126 active cases of Coronavirus(4,160 new cases) and South Africa, now the 18th country worst hit, reporting 930, 711 all time cases, 24, 907 deaths and 796,346 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 109, 458 active cases of Coronavirus(8,789 new cases).
