LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 930 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 75,062. But out of the 75,062 all time cases, 66,775 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1, 200 others could not make it alive. Active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria has now risen to 7087.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-279, FCT-179, Plateau-62, Kaduna-54, Kano-52, Katsina-52, , Imo-42, Jigawa-42, Rivers-38, Kwara-30, Nasarawa-19, Yobe-15, Ogun-13, Borno-10, Oyo-9, Niger-9, Ebonyi-6, Bauchi-6, Edo-5, Taraba-4, Sokoto-2 Cross River-2, making a total of 930 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 73,953,702 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 644, 416 patients have been killed by the virus, while 41, 846, 003 others have recovered from the virus. The world is now left with 30, 463, 283 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics uploaded by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, JHU, Maryland.
According to JHU, the United States has remained the country worst hit by Coronavirus both in terms of number afflicted and total number of deaths. Specifically, the USA has confirmed 16, 885, 623 all time cases, 306, 363 patients have been killed by the virus, while 6, 158, 049 others have recovered (12/16/20), leaving USA with 10, 421, 211 active cases of Coronavirus(249, 136 new cases),
Followed by India which has documented 9, 932, 547 total confirmed cases, 144, 096 deaths, while 9, 456, 449 others have recovered, leaving India with 332, 002 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 382 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 6, 970,034 all time cases, 182, 799 deaths, while 6, 206,483 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 580, 752 active cases of Coronavirus(42, 889 new cases).
Russia has remained as the 4th country worst hit by Coronavirus, reporting 2, 708, 940 all time cases, 47,994 patients are no more, while 2, 155, 842 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Russia with 505, 104 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 074 new cases), followed by France with 2, 465,022 all time infections, 59, 471 deaths and 186,004 recoveries, leaving France with 2, 219, 547 all time cases of Coronavirus(19, 686 new cases) and Turkey which has documented 1, 928, 165 confirmed cases, 17, 121 deaths and 1, 691, 113 patients who have been treated and discharged, leaving Turkey with 219, 911 active cases of Coronavirus(29, 718 new cases).
The United Kingdom remains the7th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 1, 918, 729 all time cases, 65, 618 deaths, while only 4,102 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the UK with 1, 849, 009 patients still down with Coronavirus praying for divine intervention to overcome the virus(25, 361 new cases), followed by Italy which has reported 1, 888,144 confirmed cases, 66, 537 deaths and 1, 175, 901 recoveries, leaving Italy with 645, 706 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 568 new cases) and Spain which has reported 1, 773, 290 all time cases, 48, 596 deaths, while only 150, 376 patients, which has remained constant since June 2020 have recovered from the pandemic, leaving Spain with 1, 574, 318 patients still down with Coronavirus(11, 078 new cases).
Argentina has settled down as the 10th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 1, 510, 203 confirmed cases since the first incident was documented, 41, 204 deaths, while 1, 344, 300 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Argentina with 124, 699 active cases of Coronavirus(6, 981 new cases) and South Africa(18th) country worst hit, reporting 883, 687 all time cases, 23, 827 deaths and 774,585 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 85, 275 active cases of Coronavirus.
