LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 324 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing all time cases to 68,627. But out of the 68,627 confirmed cases, 64,467 patients have been treated successfully and discharged while 1,179 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2981 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-115, FCT-110, Kaduna-57, Taraba-9, Akwa Ibom-8, Plateau-6, Bauchi-4, Ekiti-4, Kano-4, Katsina-4 and Rivers-3, making a total of 324 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 65, 686, 172 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 514, 387 lives have been lost to the virus while 42, 156,960 others have recovered. There are now 22, 014, 825 active cases of Coronavirus globally, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, (JHU) Maryland has reported.
According to JHU, the United States has maintained the lead in terms of total number infected and casualties so far recorded. Specifically, the United States has reported 14, 282,494 all time cases, 277, 958 deaths, while 5, 404, 018 others have recovered, leaving the United States of America with 8, 600, 518 active cases of Coronavirus(229, 311 new cases).
So far, there are 34, 973 deaths in New York, with 86,201 recoveries, 22, 591 deaths in Texas and 1, 003,141 recoveries, 19, 603 deaths in Carlifornia; 18, 994 deaths in Florida, 17, 255 in New Jersey, 13, 782 deaths in Illinos, 11, 052 in Pennsynvania, 10, 874 deaths in Massachussettes, 10, 117 in Michigan, 9, 725 in Geogia, 6, 821 in Arizona, 6, 753 in Ohio, 6, 548 in Louisiana, 6, 122 in Indiana, North Carolina 5,467 deaths and 5, 111 in Connecticut, 4, 867 deaths in Tennesse among other States in the USA.
India remains the second country most affected by Coronavirus, reporting 9, 571, 559 all time cases, 139, 188 deaths, while 9,016, 289 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 416, 082 active cases of Coronavirus(36, 595 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 6, 487, 084 confirmed cases, 175, 270 deaths and 5,792, 539 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 519, 275 active cases of Coronavirus(50, 434 new cases).
Russia has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 2, 382, 012 all time cases, 41, 730 deaths while 1, 872, 214 patients have recovered, leaving Russia with 468, 068 active cases of Coronavirus(27, 078 new cases), followed by France which has documented 2, 321, 492 all time cases, 54, 858 patients are no more, while 173, 986 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 2, 002, 648 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 403 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has documented 1, 694, 790 confirmed cases, 60,714 patients are no more, while only 3, 632 others have been able to survive the pandemic, leaving the UK with 1, 630, 444 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 375 new cases).
Italy has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 1, 688, 939 all time infections, 58, 852 patients are already dead, while 872, 385 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Italy with 757, 702 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 110 new cases), followed by Spain with 1, 684, 647 all time infections, 46, 252 deaths, while only 150, 376 remains the constant figure that survived since June 2020, leaving Spain with 1, 488, 019 active cases of Coronavirus(8, 745 new cases) and Argentina with 1, 447, 732 confirmed cases, 39, 305 patients are no more, while 1, 274, 675 others have recovered, leaving Argentina with 1, 133, 752 active cases of Coronavirus(7, 629 new cases).
Colombia remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 1, 343, 322 all time cases, 37, 305 patients have passed on while 1, 233, 115 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Colombia with 72, 902 active cases of Coronavirus(9,233 new cases), followed by South Africa now the 16th country most hit by the virus.
South Africa has reported 800, 872 all time cases, 21, 803 deaths while 739, 367 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving South Africa with 39, 702 active cases of Coronavirus(4, 400 new cases).
