LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 122 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 67,960. But out of the 67,960 all time cases, 63,839 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1,177  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2944 active cases of Coronavirus.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Kaduna-37,  Lagos-29,  Plateau-25,  Ekiti-9,  Rivers-5,  Ogun-5,  Edo-4,  Kwara-4,  Bayelsa-2, Bauchi-1 and Kano-1, making a total of 122 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 64, 293, 447 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 448, 321  patients are already dead,  while 41,258, 010 others have recovered. There are now 21, 587, 116 active cases of Coronavirus globally, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University,(JHU) Maryland has reported.

According to JHU, the United States of America remains the most affected country, now reporting 13, 861, 243 all time cases, 272, 479 deaths and 5, 226, 581 recoveries, leaving the USA with 8, 362, 183  active cases of Coronavirus (207,286 new cases) , followed by India which has reported 9, 449, 413 confirmed cases,  138,122 patients could not survive the pandemic, while 8, 932, 647  others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 378, 644 active cases of Coronavirus and Brazil which has reported 6, 386, 787  all time cases,  173, 817 patients are no more, while  5, 712, 305 others  have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 500, 665 active cases of Coronavirus(50, 909 new cases).

Russia remains the  4th country worst hit by the virus, reporting  2, 327, 105  confirmed cases, 40, 630 patients have passed on while  1, 814, 442 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Russia with 472, 033  active cases of Coronavirus(25, 043 new cases), followed by France which has documented 2, 275, 477   confirmed cases,  52, 821 deaths and 167, 915 recoveries, leaving France with 2, 054, 741  active cases of Coronavirus(461 new cases) and Spain which has confirmed  1, 665, 775  all time cases, 45, 784 patients are no more, while 150, 376  has remained the figure quoted by authorities in Spain since June 2020 to have been discharged. Nevertheless, Spain is currently left with 1, 469, 615 active cases of Coronavirus(9, 331 new cases).

The United Kingdom is the 7th country worst hit by Coronavirus, reporting  1, 663, 461 all time infections, 59, 796 lives have been claimed by the virus, while only 3, 597 patients have been fortunate to survive the pandemic, leaving the UK with 1, 600, 068 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 238 new cases), followed by  Italy which has documented  1, 641, 610 confirmations, 57, 045 deaths  while 823, 335 others have been discharged, leaving Italy with 761, 230 active cases of Coronavirus(20, 709 new cases) and Argentina which has reported  1, 432, 570  all time infections, 38, 928 patients have died, while 1, 263,251 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Argentina with 130, 391 active cases of Coronavirus(8,037 new cases).

Colombia remains the 10th country worst hit with 1, 324,792 all time cases,   36, 934 patients have kicked the bucket while  1, 217,647  others have survived the pandemic, leaving Colombia with 70, 211 active cases of Coronavirus(7, 986 new cases) followed by South Africa, now the 16th country most hit, reporting 796, 472  all time cases,  21, 709  patients are already dead,  while 734,305 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving South Africa with 40, 458 active cases of Coronavirus(4, 173 new cases).
