LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 145 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 67,557. But out of the 67,557 all time cases,  63,282 patients have been treated successfully and  discharged, while  1,173 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3102 active cases of Coronavirus, #Coronavirusnigeria.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-49,  FCT-34,  Kaduna-34, Plateau-11, Oyo-7, Bayelsa-5, Taraba-4 and Sokoto-1, making a total of 145 new cases of Coronavirus.

“NCDC@NCDCgov 145 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-49,  FCT-34,  Kaduna-34, Plateau-11, Oyo-7, Bayelsa-5, Taraba-4 and Sokoto-1; 67,557 confirmed 63,282 discharged 1,173 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 63, 089, 305 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide,  1, 465, 067  lives have been claimed by Coronavirus, while 40, 337, 679 others have been treated successfully and discharged. There are now 21, 286, 559 active cases of #Coronavirus globally, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University (JHU), Maryland has reported.

According to JHU, the United States of America remains the most afflicted globally, reporting 13, 492, 101 all time cases, 267, 600 deaths, while 5, 065, 148 others have recovered, leaving the United States with 8, 159, 353 active cases of Coronavirus(151, 438 new cases), followed by India which has documented 9, 431, 961 cases since the first case was spotted in India, 137, 139 patients have passed on, while 8, 847,600 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving India with 447, 222 active cases of Coronavirus(39, 042 new cases) and Brazil which has confirmed 6, 314, 740 all time cases, 172, 833 deaths and 5, 581, 436 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 560, 471 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 468 new cases).

Russia has displaced France to become the 4th country most hit, reporting 2, 275, 936 all time cases,  39, 491 patients are no more, while    1, 763, 493 others have regained their health, leaving Russia with 472, 952 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 046 new cases), followed by France, which has confirmed 2, 274, 579 all  time infections, 52, 816 patients are already dead, while 167,913 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 053, 850  patients still down with the virus, hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(4,006 new cases) and Spain, which has documented 1, 648, 187 confirmations, 45, 069 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 1, 452, 742  active cases of Coronavirus(19, 979 new cases).

The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most affected by the infection, reporting  1, 633, 652 all time cases,  58, 545 patients have kicked the bucket, while only 3, 522 patients have survived since the outset of the pandemic, leaving the UK with 1, 571, 585 active cases(12, 347 new cases), followed by  Italy which has confirmed  1, 601,554 all time cases, 55, 576 patients are already dead, while 757,507 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 788, 471 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 376 new cases) and  Argentina which has documented  1, 418, 807 cases since the first case of Coronavirus was reported in Argentina, 38, 473 deaths and  1, 249,843 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 130, 491 active cases of Coronavirus(5, 432 new cases).

Colombia remains the 10th country worst hit with 1, 308, 376 all time cases, 36, 584 deaths and 1, 204, 452 others have been discharged after recovering, leaving Colombia with 67, 340 active cases(8, 763 new cases) and South Africa now the 16th country most hit with 790, 004 confirmations, 21, 535 patients are no more, while  731, 242 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving South Africa with 37, 227 active cases of Coronavirus(2, 302 new cases).
