LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed new 168 cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 66,607. But out of the 66,607 all time cases, 62,311 patients have been treated successfully and discharged while 1,169 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3127 active cases of Coronavirus, #Coronavirusnigeria.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Abuja-61, Lagos-50, Kaduna-27, Oyo-12, Rivers-6, Katsina-5, Ogun-3, Kwara-2, Edo-1 and Kano-1, making a total of 168 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are currently 59, 561, 488 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 405, 125 lives have been lost due to the virus, while 38, 081, 416 others have been treated successfully and discharged. There are now 20, 074, 947 active cases of Coronavirus globally, based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, (JHU) Maryland.
According to JHU, the United States of America remains the most affected country, reporting 12, 518, 916 all time cases, 259, 045 deaths, while 4, 633, 600 patients are now hale and hearty, leaving the USA with 7, 626, 271 active cases of Coronavirus(148, 938 new cases), followed by India which has reported 9, 177, 840 all time infections, 134, 218 patients are already dead, while 8, 604, 955 others have survived the infection, leaving India with 438, 667 active cases of Coronavirus(37, 975 new cases) and Brazil which has documented 6, 087, 608 all time cases, 169, 485 deaths and 5, 481, 184 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 436, 939 patients looking up to the best of medical care to stay alive(16, 207 new cases).
France remains the 4th country most hit by the Coronavirus pandemic, reporting 2, 205, 095 confirmed cases, 50, 317 patients have passed on, while 160,257 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 1,994, 521 active cases of Coronavirus(9, 463 new cases), followed by Russia which has confirmed 2, 120,836 all time infections, 36, 675 Russians are already dead due to the virus, while 1, 621, 465 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 462, 696 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 087 new cases) and Spain which has reported 1, 594, 844 confirmed cases, 43, 668 patients have already died, while only 150, 376 patients have reportedly been treated and discharged by authorities in Spain, leaving the country with 1, 400, 800 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 228 new cases).
The United Kingdom comes in as the 7th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 1, 542, 610 confirmed cases, 55, 935 patients have lost their lives since the first case was reported in the UK, while only 3, 401 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the UK with 1, 483, 274 patients down with Coronavirus praying fervently to survive the infection(11, 347 new cases) and Italy which has reported 1, 455, 022 all time cases, 51, 306 patients are no more, while 610,330 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 793, 386 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 227 new cases) and Argentina which has confirmed 1, 374, 631 all time cases, 37, 122 people have passed on, while 1, 203,800 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Argentina with 133, 709 active cases of Coronavirus(4, 265 new cases).
Colombia remains the 10th country most affected by the virus, with 1, 254, 979 all time infections, 35, 479 deaths and 1, 158,897 recoveries, leaving Colombia with 60, 603 active cases of Coronavirus(6, 562 new cases), with South Africa coming in as the 16th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 772, 252 all time cases, 21, 083 patients already dead, while 716, 444 others have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 34, 725 active cases of Coronavirus(2, 493 new cases).
