LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 212 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 64,728.
But out of the 64,728 all time cases, 60,790 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,162 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2776 active cases of Coronavirus, #Coronavirusngr.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-71, Imo-26, Plateau-26, Abuja-19, Ondo-17, Kaduna-14, Rivers-9, Oyo-9, Katsina-6, Osun-4, Bauchi-2, Ekiti-2, Nasarawa-2, Ogun-2, Kano-1, Kwara-1 and Taraba-1, making a total of 212 new cases of Coronavirus.

At least there are now 52, 538,595 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 290, 095 patients have passed on while 33, 950, 610 others have been treated and discharged. There are now 17, 297, 890 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country worldwide, reporting 10,500, 259 all time cases, 242, 436 patients have been killed by the virus, while 3, 997, 204 others have recovered, leaving the United States with 6, 260, 619 active cases of Coronavirus(160,689 new cases), followed by India which has documented 8, 683,916 confirmed cases, 128, 121 deaths and 8, 066, 501 recoveries, leaving India with 489, 294 active cases of Coronavirus(47, 905 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 5, 747,660 all time cases, 163, 368 patients are no more while 5, 222,937 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 361, 355 active cases of Coronavirus(48, 655 new cases).
France has come up as the 4th country most hit with 1, 915, 095 confirmed cases, 42, 599 deaths and 139, 212 recoveries, leaving France with 1, 733, 284 active cases of Coronavirus(57, 786 new cases), followed by Russia which has reported 1, 843, 678 all time cases, 31, 755 patients have died from the pandemic, while 1, 378, 463 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 433, 460 patients still down with the virus, hoping for the best of medical care to come out alive (21, 333 new cases) and Spain which has documented 1, 437, 220 all time cases, 40, 461 deaths while about 150, 376 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 1, 246, 383 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 511 new cases).
The United Kingdom, which has suffered the highest casualty in Europe has come up as the 7th country worst hit by the pandemic, reporting 1, 293, 713 all time cases, 51,020 patients have been killed by the pandemic in the UK alone, while only 3,031 patients have been helped to recover from the pandemic, leaving the UK with 1, 239, 662 active cases of Coronavirus(56, 471 new cases), followed by Argentina which has reported 1, 273, 356 confirmed cases, 34, 531 deaths and 1,081,897 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 156, 928 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 880 new cases) and Colombia which has reported 1, 165, 326 all time cases, 33, 312 patients are no more, while 1,070,423 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Colombia with 61, 591 active cases of Coronavirus(8, 651 new cases).
Italy has come up as the 10th country most affected, reporting 1,066, 401 all time cases of Coronavirus, 43, 589 deaths and 387, 758 recoveries, leaving Italy with 635, 054 active cases of Coronavirus(37, 977 new cases) and South Africa as the 14th country worst hit, reporting 744, 732 all time cases, 20, 076 deaths and 690, 903 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 33, 753 active cases of Coronavirus(4, 478 new cases) and China where the pandemic was first reported. China is now the 58th country worst hit with 91, 775 all time cases, 4, 742 deaths and 86, 462 recoveries, leaving China with 571 active cases of Coronavirus.
