LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 152 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 64, 336.
But out of the 64, 336 all time cases, 60,333 patients have been treated and discharged while 1,160 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2843 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusngr.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-93, Abuja-21, Oyo-15, Rivers-11, Bauchi-7, Kwara-2, Bayelsa-1, Edo-1, Plateau-1, making a total of 152 new cases of coronavirus.
“NCDC@NCDCgov152 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-93, FCT-21, Oyo-15, Rivers-11, Bauchi-7, Kwara-2, Bayelsa-1, Edo-1, Plateau-1; 64,336 confirmed; 60,333 discharged ; 1,160 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.
Globally, there are now 51, 292, 597 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 1, 269, 199 deaths and 33, 400, 848 recoveries. There are now 16, 622, 550 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most hit, reporting 10, 217, 789 confirmed cases, 239, 374 deaths and 3, 928, 845 recoveries, leaving the US with 6, 049, 570 active cases of Coronavirus(173, 787 new cases) followed by India which has documented 8, 591,730 confirmed cases, 127, 059 patients are already dead, while 7, 963, 457 others have recovered, leaving India with 501, 214 active cases of Coronavirus(38, 073 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 5, 675, 032 cases since the outset of the pandemic, 162, 628 deaths and 5, 163, 226 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 349, 178 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 917 new cases).
France has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 1, 856, 292 all time cases, 41, 049 deaths and 135, 216 recoveries, leaving France with 1, 680, 017 active cases of Coronavirus(950 new cases), followed by Russia which has reported 1, 802, 762 confirmed cases, 30, 899 deaths and 1, 341, 868 recoveries, leaving Russia with 429, 995 patients sick and in need of medical attention(20,765 new cases), followed Spain with 1, 381, 218 confirmed cases, 39, 345 deaths while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 1, 341, 723 active cases of coronavirus.
Argentina is the 7th country worst hit, reporting 1, 250, 499 confirmations, 33, 907 patients have passed on while 1, 073,577 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 143, 015 active cases of Coronavirus followed by the United Kingdom which has recorded 1, 237, 191 confirmations, 49, 861 deaths and 3,008 recoveries, leaving the UK with 1,184, 322 active cases of Coronavirus(20, 449 new cases), followed by Colombia which has documented 1, 149, 064 confirmed cases, 33, 148 deaths and 981, 541 recoveries, leaving Colombia with 134, 375 active cases and Italy which has reported 995, 463 all time cases, 42, 330 deaths, while 363, 023 others have recovered, leaving Italy with 590, 110 active cases of Coronavirus(35,090 new cases).
