LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 152 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 65,457.  But there appear to be  issues of reporting actual figures in Spain.

However out of the 65,457  all time infections in Nigeria, 61,337 patients have been treated and  discharged, while  1,163  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2957 active cases.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-61,  Oyo-39,  Abuja-13,  Yobe-10,  Bauchi-6,  Kaduna-5, Kano-4,  Kwara-4,  Plateau-4, Edo-2,  Ogun-2 and Rivers-2, making a total of 152 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 55, 400,024 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1,333, 479 patients have died, while 35, 615, 598 others have been treated and discharged. There are now  18, 450, 947 active cases of Coronavirus globally, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University(JHU), Maryland has reported.

According to JHU, the United States of America remains the most affected globally, reporting a record 11, 299, 730  infections,  248, 001 patients already dead, while 4, 244,811 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving USA with 6, 806, 918  active cases of Coronavirus(126, 951 new cases).

India is the next most affected with 8, 974,290 all time cases,  130, 519  patients  are already dead, while  8, 290, 370 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving India with 393, 550 active cases of Coronavirus(129, 163 new cases), followed by Brazil with  5, 876, 464  infections since the first day the pandemic was reported,  166, 014 deaths and  5, 335,  498 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 374, 952 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 371 new cases).

France has again retained  the 4th  most affected country  with  2, 041, 317 all time infections,  45, 122 people have been killed by the virus, while  146, 397  others are now hale and hearty, leaving France with 1, 846, 798 active cases of Coronavirus(125, 270 new cases). Russia is next in the 5th place, reporting  1, 954, 912 total infections,  33, 619 patients have passed on while 1, 465,051 others have been treated and discharged. Russia is now left with 456, 242 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 201 new cases), followed by Spain, which has documented 1, 510,023 total infections,  41, 688 patients are already dead, while only 150, 376 patients  have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 1, 317, 959 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 159 new cases).

However, there are issues regarding reporting of actual figures in Spain;  it is either a deliberate cover up or those in charge of reporting cases do not know what they are doing.  For example, since JULY , the total number of patients who have recovered has remained constant,  150, 376  up till this moment, suggesting under-reportage of casualties #coronavirusspain.

There has been a steady but gradual rise in number of casualties,  even as new cases increase almost on a daily basis.

Nonetheless, the  United Kingdom has assumed the 7th most affected country, reporting 1,414,359 total infections,  52, 839 deaths, while only 3, 145 patients have been able to recover since the outset of the pandemic in the UK, leaving the kingdom with 1, 358, 375 active cases of Coronavirus(20,064 new cases), followed by  Argentina which has documented  1, 318,384 total infections,  35, 727 deaths and  1,140, 196 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 142, 461 active cases of Coronavirus(7, 893 new cases) and Italy reporting 1, 238,072 total infections,  46, 464 deaths, while  457, 798 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 780, 274 active cases of Coronavirus(32, 191 new cases).

Colombia is now the 10th country worst hit by the pandemic, reporting  1, 205, 217 total infections,  34, 223 patients are no more, while  1, 111, 867 others been discharged after treatment, leaving Colombia with 59, 127 active cases of Coronavirus and South Africa  stepping in as the 15th country most hit, reporting  754, 256 all time infections,  20, 314 people are already dead, while  696, 820 others have been  discharged after treatment, leaving South Africa with 37, 122 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 987 new cases).
