LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 157 cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 65,305. But out of the 65,305 all time cases,  61,162 patients have been treated and  discharged, while 1,163  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1980 active cases of Coronavirus, #Coronavirusngr.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-97,  Oyo-37, Kaduna -9,  Bayelsa-3,  Edo-3, Ekiti-3 ,Ondo-2, Osun-2 and Plateau-1, making a total of 157 new cases.

There are 54, 785, 073 confirmed cases globally,  1, 322, 400  patients have been killed by the pandemic, while  35, 113,086 others have survived. There are presently 18, 349, 587  active cases of Coronavirus, the centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University has reported.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted worldwide, reporting  11, 172, 779 all time cases,  247,019 deaths, while  4, 185, 549 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the United States with 6, 740, 211 active cases of Coronavirus(174,792 new cases), followed by India which has reported  8, 845, 127 confirmed cases,  130, 070 deaths, while  8, 249, 579 others have recovered, leaving India with 465, 478 active cases of Coronavirus(30, 548 new cases) and Brazil which has reported  5, 863, 093 all time cases,  165, 798 patients are already dead, while  5, 279, 452 others  have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 417, 843  patients in urgent need of medical care to keep living(14, 134 new cases).

Russia  has returned as the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 1, 932, 711 confirmed cases,  33, 184 patients have passed on while   1, 443,393 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Russia with 456, 134 patients still in need of urgent medical care to keep living(22, 562 new cases), followed by France which has reported  1, 916, 047 confirmed cases,  42, 603 deaths while  139, 760 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 1, 733, 684 patients currently with Coronvirus pandemic(334 new cases) and Spain which has documented  1, 496, 864 cases since the outset of the pandemic,  41, 253 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 1, 305, 235 active cases of Coronavirus(38, 273 new cases).

United Kingdom remains the 7th country most hit by the virus, reporting  1, 394,295 all time cases,  52, 239 deaths, while  only 3, 135 patients have been able to survive the pandemic despite advancement in medical science, leaving the UK with 1, 338, 921 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 421 new cases) followed by  Argentina which has reported  1, 310, 491 confirmed cases,  35, 436 deaths and  1, 129, 102  recoveries, leaving Argentina with 145, 953 active cases of Coronavirus(5, 645 new cases) and  Italy which has documented  1, 205, 881 all time cases,  45, 733 deaths and  442, 364 recoveries, leaving  Italy with 717, 784 of Coronavirus(27, 352 new cases).

Colombia has moved up to the 10th country most affected by the virus, reporting  1, 205, 217 all time cases,  34, 223 deaths and 1, 111, 867 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Colombia with 59, 129 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 583 new cases) and South Africa which has reported  752, 269 confirmed cases since the outset of Coronavirus,  20, 314 deaths and 695, 496  recoveries, leaving South Africa with 36, 486 active cases of Coronavirus(3,087 new cases).
