LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 58 new cases of Coronavirus, brining all time cases in the country to 59,345.
Out of the 59,345 confirmed cases 50,768 patients have been discharged, while 1,113 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7, 464 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Plateau-18, Lagos-15, Katsina-10, Ogun-5, Kaduna-4, Edo-3, Ekiti-1, Abuja-1 and Ondo-1, making a total of 58 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria #coronavirusngr.
“NCDC@NCDCgov58 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Plateau-18, Lagos-15, Katsina-10, Ogun-5, Kaduna-4, Edo-3, Ekiti-1, FCT-1 and Ondo-1; 59,345 confirmed 50,768 discharged 1,113 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.

Worldwide, there are currently 35, 011, 322 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 1,035, 865 patients have been killed by the virus, while 24, 364, 562 others have recovered, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 7, 412, 911 all time cases, 209, 749 deaths, while 2, 897, 322 others have recovered, leaving the United States with 4, 305, 840 active cases of Coronavirus in the US, #coronavirusus, (45,374 new cases) followed by India which has confirmed 6,549, 373 cases, 101, 782 patients have lost their lives while 5, 509, 966 others have overcome the virus, leaving India with 937, 625 active cases of Coronavirus(75, 829 new cases), #coronavirusindia and Brazil with 4, 906, 833 cases of Coronavirus, 145, 987 deaths, while 4, 361, 108 others have survived the virus, leaving Brazil with 399, 738 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 310 new cases) #coronavirusbrazil.
Russia, now the 4th country worst hit has documented 1, 209, 039 cases since the first case of Coronavirus was reported, 21, 260 patients are already dead, while 975, 488 others have overcome the ailment, leaving Russia with 212, 291 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 376 new cases) #coronavirusrussia, followed by Colombia with 848, 147 all time cases, 26, 556 deaths and 757, 801 recoveries, leaving Colombia with 63, 790 active cases of Coronavirus (6, 615 new cases) #coronaviruscolombia and Peru which has reported 821, 564 cases of Coronavirus, 32, 609 patients have lost their lives, while 700, 868 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Peru with 88, 087 active cases of Coronavirus #coronavirusperu.
Argentina, now the 7th country worst hit has confirmed 790, 818 cases since the first case of Coronavirus was recorded in Argentina, 20, 795 deaths, while 626, 114 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Argentina with 143, 909 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 129 new cases) #coronavirusargentina, followed by Spain which has documented 789, 932 cases, 32, 086 lives have been lost, while about 150, 376 patients have been discharged, leaving Spain with 607, 470 active cases of Coronavirus #coronaviruspain and Mexico with 757, 953 all time cases, 78, 880 patients are no more, while 637, 993 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Mexico with 41, 080 Coronavirus patients to assist to get back on their feet(4, 863 new cases) #coronavirusmexico.
