ONITSHA, Anambra, Nigeria – As  Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, on Thursday, to mark the birth of Prophet Mohammed, the South East Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Alahaji Gidado Siddikki, has called on all Nigerians to share  and spread the virtues of peace, love and charity which the Holy Prophet represents.

According to him, in his goodwill message to mark the celebration, especially at this trying period of EndSARS protests embarked upon by Nigeria Youths, Sidiki urged Nigerians to be united in peace and love.

Siddiki,  who spoke in Awka Anambra State capital on Thursday, urged Nigerians, especially Muslems faithful to use the celebration as a period of sober reflection on the EndSARS incident that lead to unwanted vandalization, looting and destruction of private and public properties by hoodlums who operate under the guise of EndSARS peaceful protest and other numerous challenges facing the country.

“I urge all Muslims to continue to follow the exemplary leadership of the noble Prophet Mohammed for a peaceful and egalitarian society.

According to him, Prophet Mohammed lived a completed life worthy of emulation by all; anybody who imbibes such exemplary leadership style would enjoy the essence of life. I therefore, call on the people of Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia and Ebonyi State to live in peace and harmony with their visitors for the interest of one Nigeria.

The leadership of Miyetti Allah under my watch in the South East, will continue to promote the peace among the Cattle Breeders and their host communities. We remain fully committed to delivering on our promise of peace and unity.

I wish Nigeria, particularly our Muslem brothers and sisters, joyful celebrations during the holiday as I also pray for the warmth of Allah’s love to fill every Nigeria home”, Siddiki stated.
