LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 118 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 59,583.
But out of the 59,583 confirmed cases, 51,308 patients have been discharged, while 1,113 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7, 162 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-41, Rivers-19, Osun-17, Nasarawa-13, Kaduna-5, Anambra-5, Edo-3, Ogun-3, Kwara-3, Ondo-3, Katsina-2, Niger-2, Plateau-1 and Akwa Ibom-1, making a total of 118 new cases.

Globally, there are now 35,654, 271 cases of Coronavirus, 1,046, 809 deaths, while 24, 834, 996 patients have recovered, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University has reported.
According to the Centre, the United States remains the most hit with 7, 494,457 confirmed cases, 210, 762 deaths, while 2, 952, 390 others have survived, leaving the United States with 4, 331, 305 active cases of Coronavirus(44, 612 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 6, 685, 082 all time cases, 103, 569 deaths and 5, 662, 490 recoveries, leaving India with 919, 023 active cases of Coronavirus, (61, 267 new cases) followed by Brazil with 4,927, 235 confirmed cases, 146, 675 deaths, while 4, 397, 882 others have overcome the virus, leaving Brazil with 382, 678 Coronavirus patients to assist to bounce back to normal life(11, 946 new cases).
Russia remains the 4th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 1, 231, 277 all time cases, 21, 559 deaths and 984, 767 recoveries, leaving Russia with 224, 951 cases of Coronavirus, followed by Colombia, which has reported 869, 808 current cases of the pandemic, 27, 017 deaths and 770, 812 others have survived, leaving Colombia with 71, 979 active cases of the pandemic and Peru with 829,999 confirmed cases, 32, 834 deaths, while 712, 888 others have been discharged, leaving Peru with 84, 277 active cases of Coronavirus.
Spain has come up as 7th country most hit by the Coronavirus with 825,410 all time cases, 32, 486 deaths, while 150, 376 people have been discharged, leaving Spain with 642, 548 patients to assist with the pandemic(11, 998 new cases), followed by Argentina with 809, 728 cases since the pandemic was first reported in Argentina, 21, 468 people are already dead, while 649, 017 others have been discharged, leaving Argentina with 139, 243 active cases of the virus(11, 242 new cases) and Mexico with 789,780 all time cases, 81, 877 patients are no more, while 670, 034 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Mexico with 37, 869 patients to assist to get back on their feet.

South Africa remains the 10th country worst hit, with 683,242 cases, 17, 103 patients have passed on while 616, 857 others are now healthy, leaving South Africa with 49, 282 patients to manage for Coronavirus, followed by France which has reported 674,637 cases over time, 32, 382 deaths and 101, 443 recoveries, leaving France with 540, 812 active cases of the pandemic(10, 612 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has documented 532,779 cases, 42, 535 deaths and 2, 417 recoveries, leaving the United Kingdom with 487, 827 active cases of the virus in the U.K(14, 557 new cases).
