LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 179 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases in Nigeria to 60, 834.
But out of the 60,834 confirmed cases, 52,143 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,116 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 6, 575 active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, #coronavirusngr.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-116, Anambra-20, Abuja-9, Oyo-9, Rivers-9, Delta-3, Nasarawa-3, Edo-2, Kaduna-2, Ogun-2, Plateau-2, Ekiti-1 and Osun-1, making a total of 179 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, total confirmed cases has hit 38, 744,784 cases globally, 1,094, 979 deaths, 26,748, 527 others have been treated and discharged. There are currently 10, 901, 278 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most hit by the virus, reporting 7, 966, 634 all time cases, 217, 601 others have passed on, while 3, 155, 826 others have survived the virus, leaving the United States with 4, 593, 207 active cases of Coronavirus(67, 321 new cases), followed by India, which has reported 7, 307, 097 confirmed cases, 111, 266 patients have been killed by the virus, while 6,383, 441 others have recovered, leaving India with 812, 215 cases of Coronavirus to attend to(67, 703 new cases) and Brazil with 5, 140,863 confirmed cases, 151, 747 deaths and 4, 526,393 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 462, 723 active cases of Coronavirus(27, 235 new cases).

Russia remains the 4th country worst hit, reporting 1, 346,380 cases recorded over time, 23, 350 patients have died as a result of the virus, 1,043, 431 others been given clean bill of health, leaving Russia with 279, 599 patients hoping for the best of medical attention to keep living(13, 556 new cases), followed by Argentina, which has documented 931, 967 all time cases, 24, 921 patients are no more, while 751, 146 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Argentina with 155, 900 cases of Coronavirus(14, 932 new cases) and Colombia which has reported 930, 159 confirmations, 28, 306 patients have died as a result of the pandemic, while 816, 667 others have recovered, leaving Colombia with 85, 186 active cases of Coronavirus(6,061 new cases).
Spain remains the 7th country most hit by Coronavirus, reporting 921, 374 all time cases, 33, 533 deaths, while about 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with about 737, 465 Coronavirus patients to contend with(13, 318 new cases), followed by Peru, which has documented 856,951 all time cases, 33, 512 patients have kicked the bucket, while 759, 597 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Peru with 63, 842 active cases of Coronavirus(2, 977 new cases) and France which has fallen to the 9th country most hit by the pandemic with 850, 997 cases recorded over time, 33, 146 people are already dead, while 107, 043 others have recovered, leaving France with 710, 808 active cases of Coronavirus(30, 980 new cases).
Mexico has come up as the 10th country worst hit, reporting 829, 396 confirmations, 84, 898 deaths and 703,489 recoveries, leaving Mexico with 41, 009 patients hoping for the best of medical attention to get back on their feet(4,056 new cases), followed by South Africa which has documented 696,414 all time cases, 18, 151 patients have been killed by the virus, while 626, 898 others have regained their health, leaving South Africa with 51, 365 patients hoping for the best of care to keep living, and the United Kingdom, which has experienced a resurgence of cases in recent times. The United Kingdom has documented 676,455 confirmed cases, 43, 383 patients have passed on, while only 2, 561 patients have been assisted by the UK authority to remain alive, leaving the UK with 630, 511 cases of Coronavirus #coronavirusuk(19,000 new cases).
Italy has come up as the 17th country most hit by Coronavirus with 381, 602 confirmations, 36, 372 deaths and 245, 964 recoveries, leaving Italy with 99, 266 active cases(8, 803 new cases) and China now 49 in the ranks of most affected country. China has documented 90, 881 confirmed cases, 4, 739 deaths and 85, 720 recoveries, leaving China with 422 Coronavirus patients to assist to the point of recovery.
