LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 225 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 60,655.
But out of the 60,655 confirmed cases, 52,006 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,116 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7, 533 active cases of Coronavirus#coronavirusngr.
Breakdown of the 225 new cases is as follows, Lagos-165, FCT-17, Rivers-13, Ogun-12, Niger-8, Delta-4, Ondo-2, Anambra-1, Edo-1, Ekiti-1 and Kaduna-1.

Globally, there are 37, 999, 713 confirmed cases, 1, 083, 597 deaths, while 26, 344, 406 others have survived. The world is now left with 10, 571, 710, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country globally, reporting 7, 847,714 all time cases, 215, 702 patients are no more, while 3, 106, 769 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the United States with 4, 525, 243 active cases of Coronavirus(51, 189 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 7, 175, 880 cases, 109, 856 patients are already dead, while 6, 227,295 others have overcome the pandemic, leaving India with 838, 729 active cases(55, 342 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 5, 103,408 cases, 150, 689 deaths and 4, 526, 393 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 426, 326 live cases of Coronavirus(8, 429 new cases).
Russia remains the 4th country most hit with 1, 318,783 confirmations, 22, 834 patients have lost their lives, while 1, 027,348 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Russia with 268, 601 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 690 new cases), followed by Colombia, which has confirmed 919,084 cases over time, 27, 985 deaths and 798, 396 recoveries, leaving Colombia with 92, 703 patients hoping for the best to keep living(7, 757 new cases) and Argentina which has reported 903,730 all time cases, 24, 186 patients have lost their lives, while 732, 582 others have survived, leaving Argentina with 146, 962 active cases of Coronavirus(9, 524 new cases).
Spain remained as the 7th country worst hit, reporting 896, 086 total cases, 32, 204 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 713, 506 Coronavirus patients to assist to keep living(7, 118 new cases), followed by Peru with 851, 171 cases, 33, 357 lives have been lost to the virus, while 748,097 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Peru with 69, 717 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 800 new cases) and Mexico which has reported 821, 045 all time cases, 83, 945 patients are now dead, while 700, 826 others have recovered, leaving Mexico with 36, 274 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 542 new cases).
France has been pushed to the 10th country most affected, reporting 797, 426 cases recorded over time, 32, 961 patients have passed on, while 105, 203 others have been able to overcome the virus, leaving France with 659, 262 active cases of Coronavirus to contend with(21, 826 new cases)#coronavirusfr, followed by South Africa which has reported 694, 537 all time cases, 18, 028 patients have died, while 625, 574 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 50, 935 active cases to battle with(1,178 new cases) and the United Kingdom with 637, 707 cases recorded over time with 43, 108 deaths, while only 2, 534 patients have been able to recover from the pandemic, leaving the UK with 592, 065 cases to handle(17, 287 new cases)#coronavirusuk.
Italy which now stands as the 17th country most affected has reported 365,467 cases, 36, 246 deaths, while 242, 028 patients have recovered, leaving Italy with 87, 193 active cases of Coronavirus(5,898 new cases).
