LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 163 new cases of Coronavirus, making a total of 60,266 confirmed cases in the country.

Out of the 60,266 confirmed cases, 51,735 others have been discharged while 1,115 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7, 416  active cases of Coronavirus.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-113,  Kaduna-21,  Osun-8,  Ondo-5,  Oyo-5,  Ogun-3,  Bayelsa-2, Taraba-2,  Edo-1,  FCT-1,  Katsina-1  and Plateau-1, making a total of 163 new cases of Coronavirus.

Globally, there are now 37, 350, 759  confirmed cases, 1,074, 768  patients have lost their lives , while 25, 955, 787 others have survived, the Centre for System Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has reported. There are now 10, 320,204 active cases worldwide.

According to the centre, the United States remains the worst hit, with 7, 756,  846 confirmed cases,  214, 742 deaths and 3, 062, 982 recoveries,  leaving the United States with 4, 479, 122  active cases of Coronavirus(54, 063 new cases) , followed by India with 7, 053, 806 confirmed cases, 108, 334 patients already dead, while 6, 077, 976 others have survived, leaving India with 867, 496  active cases of Coronavirus(74, 383 new cases)  and Brazil , which has documented 5, 082, 637 cases, 150, 198 deaths and 4, 526, 393 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 406, 046 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 749 new cases).

Russia remains  the 4th country most affected, reporting 1, 291, 687  all time cases,  22, 471 patients are no more, while  1, 016, 120  others have overcome the virus, leaving Russia with 253, 096 patients in need of medical attention to overcome the virus(12, 442 new cases), followed  by Colombia with  902, 747  all time cases,  27, 660 people have been killed by the virus, while 783, 131 others have been able to overcome,  leaving Colombia with    116, 956 active cases of Coronavirus and Argentina, which has confirmed 883, 882 cases of the virus,  23, 581 deaths and 709, 464 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 150, 837 Coronavirus patients in urgent need of medical attention to get back on their feet(12, 414 new cases).

Spain has come up as the 7th country most hit with 861, 112 confirmed cases,  32, 929 others have died, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 677, 807  active cases of Coronavirus, followed by Peru with 846, 088 all time cases, 33, 223 deaths and  738,  189 recoveries, leaving  Peru with 74, 676 patients to assist medically  to get back on their feet and  Mexico which has documented 814,   328 confirmed cases, 83, 642 lives have been lost while 689, 377 patients have overcome the  virus, leaving  Mexico with 41, 309 patients hoping for the best of medical care to get back on their feet.

France  remains the 10th country most hit with 732, 424  cases recorded over time,  32, 601 deaths, while  103, 232  others have recovered, leaving France with 596, 590  patients to assist medically to overcome the pandemic and the United Kingdom, now the 12th country most affected with  606,446 confirmed cases,  42, 915 deaths while only 2, 503 others have been assisted to overcome the virus, leaving the United Kingdom with 561, 028 Coronavirus patients(12, 883 new cases).
