LEKKI, Lagos, Nigeria – Coordinators of the #endSARS movement in Nigeria, Mr. Uche Maduagwu has lambasted Nollywood superstar, Omotola Jelade-Ekeinde for one of her tweets which insinuated that some of the information peddled around were far from the facts.
Uche Maduagwu who said he was present at the scene when the military opened fire on the armless youths calling for an end to police brutality and bad governance said there is no sensationalism in the death of 20 innocent youths at the #endSARS protest.
As he puts it, the actress’ tweet on the toll gate horror is not only insensitive, bizarre but also conspicuously shameless to say the least.
Maduagwu who said he is disappointed by the outburst of Omotola Jelade Ekeinde who was also in the forefront of the protest said it is shameful that the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu could not declare 3 days of morning.
“I am the coordinator of #endsarsnow in naija and I can tell you that 20 #endswat protesters were killed but its shameful and irritating that governor #babajidesanwoolu has not declared 3 days of mourning in #lagos he is more concerned about government destroyed properties than those slain at Lekki toll gate, youths”, he said.
