LAGOS, Nigeria – Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has qualified as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court.
The iconic actor who was hot cake and talk of the town in the late 1990s when Nollywood was still at its formative stage has been off the scene for quite some time now, slowing down on his acting career.
He only returned to announce his membership of the legal profession.
“To God be the glory”, Kanayo O Kanayo announced, the way films in the late 90s were rounded up in the credit lines.
He added, “You can now address me as Anayo Modestus Onyekwere Esq, MFR, Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria”, he said.

Kanayo O. Kanayo has featured in over 100 films and is actually a household name in Nigeria’s film industry.
He is coming into the profession after his colleague, Richard Mofe Damijo qualified as a lawyer. Former marketer, Dozie Eriobu has also qualified as a lawyer. Dozie Eriobu was CEO of Infinity Merchant.
